Man, this place is RAD! I intentionally used an 80s term because I felt like I had walked back into my childhood when I walked through the door. Pinball machines on both walls and classic arcade games in the middle.
You are greeted by a Worlds Largest Pac-Man machine when you walk in the door. I'm more of a Galaga man myself so, I was really happy to see that it could also play Galaga. They also have a regular size Galaga and Ms Pac Man as well several other classic arcade titles.
The pinball machines are where this place shines. They are immaculate! I played Evel Knievel for over an hour. Some of these machines are decades old but, they are in perfect condition. None of the buttons stick. All of the lights work.
Some people complain about there not being any food options but, this place is in downtown Lafayette. Its right next door to DT Kirbys, the best burger joint in town. Next door to that is Professor Joes Pizzeria. There are plenty of food options, just not actually inside the arcade.
My sole complaint would be the hours. On the one hand, they do always leave us wanting more. However, 4 hours a night (6 hours on Saturday) is barely enough to scratch that itch for a pure nostalgia trip. I'm 40 years old and found myself dreaming of going back. You definitely have to make plans around their hours because it is a VERY short window.
This is definitely my favorite place in Lafayette. I cant wait til this COVID 19 deal blows over so that I...
Read moreWent here for the first time tonight! What a great place to go! Not crowded for a Monday night. The games are all run on tokens. The token machine takes debit or cash (that was a plus for me) Now let's talk games! The had some really old school pin ball games, centipede, burger time, donkey Kong jr, galaga, and a bunch more! The coolest part is the huge screen arcade game that you can play pac man or Galaga on! Most games take 1 to 4 tokens. I think I found one pin ball that took 6. My recommendation is this, take your kids and let them feel how it use to be back when we were kids playing in an arcade! Make it a date and eat next door...
Read moreWhat a charming little place! It's packed full of new and older pinball machines and I didn't have any problems with any of them not working (which as you know can be an issue sometimes). I got $10 worth of tokens and was able to play for almost an hour. There are arcade games such as Galaga and Donkey Long Jr. as well.
Some of the older games are cheaper. The newer pinball machines are a little pricey but overall, I had a great time. If you go, you have to play the giant Pac-Man game with a friend.
There is a vending machine with drinks but there doesn't appear to be any food options there so just keep that in mind. But overall,...
