Scones and Doilies is my absolute favorite bakery EVER! I feel in love with their treats while at Purdue nearly 7 years ago and they remain my favorite indulgence. They've made some important days perfect for me in the past by creating the most gorgeous cakes for a special occasions, making sweets for 2 bridal showers and, my favorite, catering the desserts for my wedding in Indianapolis this past October. You know you picked the perfect bakery when people are still talking about the beautiful and tasty desserts from your wedding. The treats were so elegant and everyone raved about them! We had a 2-tier raspberry champagne cake to cut for the wedding and then had various smaller treats out on the tables for everyone to choose from which was perfect for those who want to try a couple things like me! I also love that I can go have a little reminder of our wedding any time I visit them to get treats and they are well worth the drive from Indy! I think another areas where Scones and Doilies goes above and beyond is catering to those who need gluten free items. I have a friend who must eat gluten free and she is amazed at how good the gluten free items are and how incredible the taste and texture always are. Scones and Doilies is hands down THEE best bakery in town! Their service is amazing, prices are reasonable, and I've never been disappointed by anything I've tried here. I brought a friend in with me last fall and the owner gave her a freshly baked sample of a scone since it was her first time visiting. The staff is so friendly and hospitable.

My personal favorite treat is their cake, I recommend their lemon blueberry flavor 🍋🫐. If you're stopping in for a quick treat, their frosted cookies never disappoint! I cannot wait until they have gingerbread cookies again, those are a must try for gingerbread lovers. Their cookies are large and thick, with such delicious frosting — you can tell the cookie and frosting is made fresh. Not to mention how beautiful their frosting designs and colors are. Really great bakery with impressive people! I went there with my young family 30 minutes after it closed and my young son was devastated! A few minutes later, a worker opened the door and invited us in. They had noticed my son’s disappointment. They pulled back out a selection of goods that they had already put away and we purchased a lemon honey scone (which was delicious). They also threw in an extra scone for good measure and a couple of cookies for my wife (it was Mother’s Day the next day). Our hearts are full of gratitude for wonderful people (and great food).
