Michaels — Attraction in Lafayette

Went into Michael's yesterday to return a package through UPS, a young girl was working and she was so very sweet, she offered to help secure my package with tape, bc some of the items could have fallen out . The older lady working was the RUDEST old lady I have ever met, she claimed it's not her job to help and she said i needed to go home and fix the package in order for her to be able to do anything. I asked so the tape you have sitting next to you that the other girl offered to help with isn't available now? She said "well she's just a little kid , I'm a grown up , she doesn't know anything. " and "it's not my job to help you with tape". I would suggest next time you hire a mean old lady, at least teach her how to sell. Even the girl who wasn't allowed to help me referred me to where the tape was in the store. The old lady needs to retire or be fired and the young sweet girl needs a raise for having to deal with...

Love going to Michaels. If you hit it just right, you can get fantastic deals. I try to buy items I see on sale for upcoming events and holidays. Most of the items are easily stored and last. I try to go in there with specific items to purchase and do real well, especially with the coupons I receive all the time. Be sure to check the expiration dates and read the fine print. The staff is helpful and polite 99% of the time. Every once in a while, you catch someone not having a good day, but that's life. So being my first time in Michaels I was happy with the store. Definitely not hobby lobby but has a lot of the same hobby materials. The lady at the register was very helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. Unfortunately the area isn't well marked like the rest of the store. Way back in the corner past the wood frames in candle/soap making. Never would have guessed. As for prices, I really can only compare prices to hobby lobby which are about the same.
