Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Lafayette

This is a Penn Station, you should know what to expect as far as the food is concerned. I was satisfied, the sandwich and fries turned out just as desired.

What I have to say was pleasantly surprising, and had my wife and I talking about the rest of the day, was how wonderful the customer service was!! Every customer walking was greeted very energetically, and treated as if they were special. It wasn't just that, but hearing the staff talk with each other when they were not helping customers; they were happy, polite, and always giving each other kudos. It was a positive uplifting environment. Left a smile on our faces for hours!!

I am sad reading some of the other reviews, seeing that others have not always had this same experience. Maybe there has been some staff change ups. If so, it has...

I WENT HERE YESTERDAY THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS IT WAS A BLACK BOY ON THE REGISTER.... FIRST WHEN I WALKED IN HE WAS SWEEPING THE FLOOR THEN HE STOPPED CAUSE I WAS IN THERE THEN HE TOOK MY ORDER WITH THE SAME GLOVES HE WAS USING FROM SWEEPING THE FLOOR THEN I NOTICED HE WAS PUTTING SOME SPREAD ON THE BREAD WITH THOSE SAME GLOVES HE THEN USED FROM SWEEPING THE FLOOR AND TAKING ORDERS..... PERSONALLY THAT IS THE MOST NASTIEST THING A PERSON CAN DO I WAS NOT SATISFIED AT ALL.... THE TIME WAS 7:13 YOU ALL CLOSED AT 8 HE COMPLAINED SAYING HE WISH PEOPLE STOP COMING IN THERE CAUSE YOU ALL WAS FINNA CLOSE..... I DON'T LIKE PEOPLE BEING RUDE NOR USING THE SAME GLOVES YOU TOUCHED EVERYTHING WITH TO MAKE SOMEONE FOOD.......

I had the chicken teriyaki monthly special with a side of fries and a drink, food was very hot and fresh, I thought the bread tasted a little bit dry but beyond that it was pretty good, the entire restaurant is very clean and well maintained, the bathroom is also very well maintained, definitely worth coming back for, however I think it was a little bit overpriced, but I wouldn't expect anything less for a college town, the staff is very friendly and the manager was doing his due diligence too train a new person while...
