I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Business & Pleasure Co. I purchased several of their expensive products, expecting quality and good customer service, but was met with utter disappointment.
First and foremost, I didn't receive my complete order, and the only way I could communicate with them was via email. They consistently gave me the runaround, making it incredibly difficult for me to get the items I needed for my upcoming party. It's disheartening to see a company with such a lack of transparency and customer support.
The biggest issue was their refusal to process a refund, despite my valid concerns about the product. They consistently gave me the runaround, saying they had "done all they can," which was clearly not the case. It's disheartening to see a company that sells expensive items not stand behind their customers and their own products.
**I still don't have a complete refund and it looks like they will not be doing anything about that. If I could report them, I would. I did not get the products in time for the party, even though they think I did. I am also very pregnant and now on bed rest. They have gone back and forth and back and forth with me, basically calling me a liar. Instead of just refunding the money and letting me keep the products and gaining back a customer, they keep on telling me there is nothing they can do. So in result they will loose who could of been a great customer. Obviously, they have no interest in making any effort to win back my business after a disappointing experience.
Furthermore, their policy of making customers pay for return shipping is absurd, especially when the product is clearly not up to the promised standard. It felt like they were trying to make the return process as inconvenient and costly as possible.
In summary, my experience with Business & Pleasure Co. has been a nightmare. I cannot recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of other companies out there that offer quality products and stand by their customers with excellent service. They may look pretty on the outside but inside they are not. Read moreThe products are beautiful and well made but if you happen to get a faulty item…just pray for sanity, because that’s all that is going to help you. Not the customer service team. They don’t read (and/or speed-read) your enquiry and then proceed to ask you questions that you’ve already covered in the initial enquiry…and then they take another week to reply to that and the cycle repeats itself. I’m two replies in, they have asked questions that I’ve already answered in previous replies. I still have a faulty product and it’s been over two weeks of this. I’m so passed wanting a replacement now, I just want my money back so I can stop this torture 😂. It’s actually comical HOW BAD their email queue management is. Customer service should be where businesses invest their money first, because it’s instances like these, that you lose all those marketing dollars and hard work to accrue a genuine repeat customer. Read moreLiterally the worst “Premium Beach Umbrella” I’ve ever purchased. I’ve had two fail in various ways and in short periods of time.
I’ve emailed Talia from the Business and Pleasure Customer Care Team multiple times providing images of my umbrella faults who has responded swiftly in a condescending manner each time and accused me of using the beach umbrella outdoors more than I should have. Each flaw in the umbrella including fabric tear, pole splitting etc was all blamed on the user, rather than the low quality fabric and pole. Apparently these umbrellas have a time limit for use outdoors despite being a “beach” umbrella.
I guess these Business and Pleasure Co umbrellas should ONLY be purchased for Instagram photo shoots and the like.
Don’t buy this product if you actually want or need a beach umbrella for regular outdoor shade requirements!
I’m just so thankful I didn’t waste $800 on their overpriced...
