Long Review, I apologize in advance but please read this before considering this store.
I have had multiple problems with products from this store and ultimately the employees. I purchased a gaming headset from this store and at the time of the purchase, I relied on the employees knowledge as I had very little knowledge about gaming headsets. The employee informed me that the headset was 100% compatible with my console and recommended the item and described it as being the best choice, out of multiple options available. Upon getting the headset home it was discovered that it was not in fact 100% compatible as originally described by the employee. The main component of the headset ie: the audio volume, configuration of all chat and equalizer setting could not be changed or updated. I immediately took the item back to the store and described the problem and the information provided to me by the employee. The manager that was present at the time of the return informed me, that If he would have been present at the time of the purchase he would have informed me that the headset was best suited for a PC not a console, as he had previously done with other customers in the past. I requested a full refund. This request was due to that as customers, we work hard for our money and expect quality products that are as described by the employees. I was informed that only store credit could be issued as it was their policy. I understand policy and procedures as much as the next person but if the customer was misled about a product and given misleading information that ultimately led to the purchase; a full refund should be issued. I was denied this request and given the run around about my request to file a formal complaint due to this experience and have attempted to contact the customer service department multiple times. The manager at the store informed me that he had no information available in reference to filling a complaint. I ultimately had to contact another store to obtain the corporate offices contact information. I have still not heard from the corporate office as it is evident they do not stand behind their actions, knowledge and customer relations. Read moreABSOLUTELY WILL NOT GO BACK!! If I could I’d give this place a - star.. idk where to begin.. I went into the store hoping to find some older style games and accessories. I was pleased to find that they actually had them. My first encounter with the salesman should’ve been my red flag he at first seemed to have very little knowledge of older systems and games sold in the store. I went on and purchased the items thinking that maybe he was just new and was in training. I asked the second sales rep about a game and she cut me off saying that they didn’t count inventory so she would not be able to help me find a game. I found some games and purchased a system , 3 games and 2 accessories. I went home. And shortly after I realized they did not put the games with my other purchases only the game cases. So I went back and got the games. Returned home only to find that the controller that came with the system had a short in it, and NONE of the accessories worked. So, I made a call to the store in which Caroline( sales rep #2) was very rude so I went back to the store and asked for a refund due to them not being able to exchange my purchases for because they didn’t have any like items. So I asked for them to call their manager to discuss the issue, they called the manager but refused to let me speak with him and then realized they hadn’t given me the other pieces that would help make the accessories work, tested them and NOTHING worked still. So after 30 minutes of going back and forth I pointed out they have no signs that say “ as is” on them. No one had a response to that but still refused to give me my money back and stated that they do not have to check anything in the store only the systems and that’s only as far as making sure they turn on. I recommend that if you work hard for your money and don’t like purchasing stolen items( phones) broken systems( games consoles and Apple TVs) you don’t purchase them from here. They have no idea what customer service is and definitely do not care...
Read moreOk, so I’ll be honest as to why it’s a 1 Star. This location has too many ups and downs and too much turnover. If the company was so good like other reviews state, why can’t they keep good associates? Knowledgeable ones too. Friendly at least. They have a great selection of games and pops and so forth. But let’s be honest it’s all junky and torn up. They have no clue how to take care of items. As a pop collector everyone knows box condition is everything. Yet they sell pops at PPG prices and the boxes are torn to bits. This is their “company” policy they say. But I’ve been to several other locations in Texas who do not use this policy and price accordingly. Also they do not offers refunds even if it’s a defective product they “tested”. They only offer store credit. Which if you sell me a defective product and assure me it works, I want a refund not store credit. I’ve had to dispute charges because of this in the past. Do yourself a favor and continue going to Gamestop and Flea Markets. At least Gamestop admits their screwing you. Game Exchange lies and does it with a smile. They are worse than most big box retailers. They also hook up people they know with deals. I’ve watched this before. I miss the original management at this store. I don’t want a deal, I just don’t want to be screwed. My latest visit was the last bit. I watched customers walk out because associates were too busy “hanging out”....
