Zeus — Restaurant in Lake Charles

My wife and I love Greek food so we drove into Lake Charles for our Anniversary dinner. The food was wonderful, exactly what we hoped for, and the service was fast and efficient. I would have left a five star review if it weren’t for our waitress. A middle-aged, red head with freckles served us and I wish she had not worked that day. She only spoke to my wife when she ordered, but she treated me with much more interest, asking me personal questions that were unnecessary through out the time we were there. My wife was in shock and didn’t say anything to her because the flirting was so blatant that she thought she might have been having a delusional episode. Needless to say, we regretted picking your establishment to celebrate our anniversary. My wife left heart broken and I didn’t have the guts to tell this woman that she was being inappropriate and disrespectful to her. The food here was INCREDIBLE!!! On my road trip from Houston I stopped at Zeus Mediterranean Kitchen in Lake Charles with three of my family members, and it turned out to be the highlight of our drive. We decided to order a variety of dishes to share, starting with the hummus topped with feta and roasted red peppers, which was so creamy and flavorful it disappeared almost instantly. The mixed grill platter was a favorite at the table, piled high with tender beef, juicy chicken, and perfectly seasoned shrimp over fluffy rice. The chicken wrap was another hit, packed with fresh and savory flavor in every bite. What impressed all of us was not just how delicious the food was, but also how generous the portions were more than enough to satisfy four hungry travelers after hours on the road. Even better, the prices were very reasonable for the amount and quality of food we received. This place is AMAZING!!! I love, love it!! There is a new employee since I was in last time named Jade, that is non stop and is on top of her game and is so polite and give THE BEST customer service. She ran around that whole restaurant the hour and a half we were there busing tables and helping everyone in that restaurant. They should definitely make Jade a server! She would rock as a server! Team player for sure!! The server, Avery, was absolutely amazing!! Always refilled our drinks on time, never missed a beat!! She was kind and very good table manners. The food was delicious and the lamb tender. It was the best service I have received in Lake Charles from any restaurant!! I will be going there at least once a week, if not more.
