I recently visited Pizza Artista on their BOGO Tuesday nights and I want to share my terrible experience. While standing in line for about 12 mins behind what seemed to be online orders because no one was in front of me. I am finally acknowledged to have my order taken. I have two create your own pizza to be made. We move down the line, get our toppings and our pizza’s are walked over to be baked in the oven. I take a seat at the table right in front of the cash register so I am to see and hear everything that is transpiring while I wait. We sit there waiting for another 25 mins for our pizza’s to be ready. Anthony the MOD (I guess) is running around all flustered because of the 8 people that were in the restaurant and the probably 5 online orders. I watched employee number 1 take my pizza out of the oven and tell Anthony(MOD) that my pizza was a remake when he took it out of the oven. Anthony(MOD) says a remake for what? Employee 1 says to him because it is burnt. His own employer could see that it was and should have been corrected but Anthony (MOD) looks at it non shallot and says it’s fine! Employee 1 leaves pizza’s on rack waiting to be boxed. Meanwhile another 10 mins goes by before my name is called by Anthony (MOD) to get finishes on the pizza’s before boxing. I look at the pizza and I tell him that they are indeed burnt and I don’t want it. He stands their for a minute and then proceeds to tell me that if I want him to remake me another pizza that I would have to go back to the back of the line and wait for another 20 mins for the remake! Excuse me so this my fault right? I told him it is burnt and I am not going to pay for that. He says well they are buy one get one free anyway. I said so you think that is a quality pizza right there and that I should have to pay for it? By this time people are watching as we go back and forth because again Anthony was acting like it was my fault that my pizza’s are burnt. With no apologies or care at all, and because patrons now watching us, he says what finishes do you want ma’am ? I said again I am not paying for that, he sets pizza on window for me to take so I will leave. Because at this point he just wants me gone. Such poor customer service! I want to say that when I first walked in I noticed the writing on the canvases on the walls, it’s says we pride ourself on quality and Freshness, well not their manager Anthony ! He could care less about my experience, or making things right, or if I ever returned back to their restaurant again. Do better Pizza Artista in...
Read moreFirst time we ate Pizza Artista we ordered on Waitr and it looked and tasted 3 days old. Understanding you can't have quality control on pizza that is maybe not meant for delivery, I obviously had to give them another chance. I was told by a friend of mine who went to pickup pizza for lunch today and he was informed by the CASHIER the pizza was buy one get one free (BOGO) today. Happily wanting to try them again, I called to order dinner and asked if pizzas were BOGO, to which the guy taking my order replied yes. I ordered two pizzas and my wife, distracted with our rambunctious 2-year-old child, went to pick them up. The girl at the register rang up someone else's order on our card which had to be refunded (honest mistake), but then rang up both of ours at full price with no discount. I assumed honest mistake again and called to tell them we did not receive the BOGO and got charged for both pizzas. Low and behold the person I was talking to explains to me with an attitude, "I have been working the register. Did she say something when she paid?" Although her question answers itself (obviously she did not say anything at the register no need for the sarcastic question), I replied no. She then told me that it isn't a deal they just give, and you have to say something. I told her I did mention the deal and asked for the BOGO when I ordered it. Her sarcastic response, "but not at the register?" So a friend of mine goes in to order and maybe because he is a guy, the girl or someone felt obliged to tell him there was a special. Or, there is no accountability and instead of accepting she made a mistake it was better to be sarcastic and give me an attitude like we are the idiots for not mentioning at the register we want the BOGO. For what it's worth, the pizza was much better than the first time; however after that interaction it...
Read moreAlthough we had a good vegan pizza experience, I am giving this place only one star because the staff put my toddler's life at risk. They have a gelato stand inside this restaurant and after we were done with our pizza my toddler wanted some. I asked the staff more than 3 times if it was dairy-free because my child is allergic to dairy. 3 times they absolutely assured me it was dairy-free. I made sure I told them my child was highly allergic to dairy, so they really needed to tell me the truth. Again, they assured me 100% it was dairy free. So we bought the smallest cup. The flavor tasted really cheap by the way. My child only had a couple of spoonfuls and started to break out in hives. Long story short I had to administer medicine and when we were on our way home my child continued to feel sick, so I had to pull over and ended up calling 911. The ambulance came and took us the nearest pediatric hospital. The staff were very incompetent and didn't even know what to say when I went back to talk to them. The "manager" in charge then spoke with the real manager (I assume) over the phone, and they ended up telling me that the flavor labels were wrongly placed. What??!!! Anyways these people need to be trained properly to work at a restaurant. They need to be trained on the severity of food allergies!! Food allergies are not a joke! If you go for the pizza is ok, but don't even dare to try their gelato. It's tastes really, really...
