My Place — Restaurant in Lake Charles

Abby is such a wonderful bartender! Always kind and a great, knowledgeable bartender. After being arrested for “trespassing and being belligerent” as I was told, even though I was sitting at the bar being served my second beer by the manager Danny, who did clarify that nobody from My Place called the police and said those things (charges were dropped for unlawful arrest) I returned to the establishment almost a year later thinking there was an understanding I wasn’t banned since he denied the call to police, served me 2 beers and never asked me to leave once. I’ve tried to contact the manager serval times just to verify but he won’t respond.

So overall review, bartenders are amazing, great spot. But they humiliated me, didn’t speak up and can’t answer a simple question of if I am welcome or not. And I come in peace, no hard feelings either way.

I myself manage in the service industry and just don’t understand why I can’t get a simple answer. So lmk Danny! I love your place and never have caused you any trouble if my memory serves me correctly. I would certainly answer your question if you were in my establishment. Sucks, I really would like to enjoy this place more and still have hopes...

Poor Lighting. Very dark. Though that maybe an intentional effect by owner. Cleanliness is nowhere near a priority list. The jukebox is $1 a song that is slightly speed up. Setting the negative aside. I am almost sure that the Brew selection might be the best in town at the moment. Roomy game area for shooting pool as well as video golf. And local bands with original tunes; displays their work on specific night/s but not specific time. Overall it's a place where you can hang with college hopeful to be hipsters during live music night/s... Or the nightshift crowed during the a.m., the day shift around 5 p.m., retiree's all through out the daytime hours... Good place to stop and hang awhile for some cocktails,...

I went to try and enjoy my last night in lake Charles with some drinks and music (my anniversary trip), but unfortunately you guys and your racist rules canceled that plan. So apparently I can get on a plane, go into a government building, rent a car, check into a hotel, buy my own drinks, sign my kids birth certificate all with my license/ID having tape on it, but I can't enter this place with my tape on my ID. All you had to say is tonight is an all white crowd and my husband and I would have understood. We are in 2017 and I guess you guys haven't figured...
