HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My friends and I used to absolutely love the Fiery Crab. We came here for all of our special occasions. Well all of that has changed. We will never return to this restaurant ever again and I HIGHLY recommend that you save your hard-earned money and go elsewhere as well.
We had a group of 6, so a slightly large group. The moment our server finally came to our table (after we waited about 10 minutes), they were immediately rude to us. They ignored us all night, we had to practically beg for refills. We only received ONE crab cracker (after having to request it) even though 4 members of our party had crab. All of this was annoying, but not a big deal.
The issue was the food and the management. The food was all disgusting. It was overcooked. The crab and shrimp was rubbery, and crawfish was bland and falling apart.
My sister is the one who ordered the crawfish, which was the worst meal of all. Everyone else was disappointed with their food, but we decided to take the loss. My sister’s food was so horrible that she only ate about 5 of her crawfish. We asked management to come over to have it taken off of the bill, and we were met with condescension and rudeness. He told us they could only take 50% off, despite the fact that my sister hardly ate any of her food at all. She offered to pay for the potatoes, corn, and sausage that she ate, but said she would not pay for the crawfish. He told us the best he could do was 50%. She refused again. He brought over the district manager who was the rudest of all. Truly the worst customer service I’ve EVER gotten in my life. He told us that they took the food to the back and it “peeled just fine and tasted great” and therefore, he could only give us 50% off the crawfish itself, not even her entire meal. He threatened to “call someone else” about it, whatever that means, and our friends who were with us got anxious and decided they wanted to just pay the bill and leave.
It took them ages to bring our checks, and when we got them they had already added an 18% gratuity to every check. For my meal, which was a pound of headless shrimp and half a pound of snow crab, my bill was FIFTY DOLLARS.
I’ve never felt so disrespected as a customer in my life. And I’ve never eaten such disgusting seafood either. Save your money. You’d be better off going to...

Food was fairly priced and tasted pretty good, but was overcooked. Definitely a chain restaurant. We will choose a different place if we find ourselves back in the area in the future.
We got to Lake Charles a little late from south Texas & wanted seafood. This popped up on Google Maps and looked pretty good - gives Surfing Crab/Joes Crab Shack vibes. We got there 1.5 hours before they closed. When we entered, the hostess had her back to the door and was on her phone. The manager saw us, had a really disappointed/fed up look (towards her - he didn’t address us at all), and tapped her to pay attention. We were seated quickly since it wasn’t busy (about 3/4 tables were used). When we were seated, the waitress assigned to us seemed rushed - to reiterate the restaurant was not very busy. She took our drink orders (waters) and asked if we’re ready to order. We said no and asked for a minute to look. She came back with the waters shortly after and asked again if we were ready to order. We’d never been to Fiery Crab before so we had 1 question. She answered quickly and in a tone like we should have known that. Off-putting, but we let it slide. We ordered and before we could say the end of our order she cut us off and asked sauce and spice level. Once again, we have not been to a Fiery Crab before so we took a second to decide. As soon as we said our answer, she walked away. Based on her quickness to get away, we figured the food would be out shortly. Then we didn’t see her for a while (it’s not a big restaurant) until she brought our food. The flavor was fine, but the seafood (crawfish, crab, etc.) was overcooked. Granted, it was way more cost effective than expected ($45 for a crawfish special boil plate). Truly a “you get what you pay for” situation. The next time she came around, we asked for the check before she disappeared again for however long. She brought it quickly and that was the end of our experience. As a result, we give this establishment a less than satisfactory review.

Read moreThis is the worst restaurant ever. I went there for a family member birthday dinner. I had already read the bad reviews so I was prepared for the poor service and long wait time but I was not prepared for the spoiled food they served us. The shrimp was spoiled!! While I was seated waiting for the rest of our party to arrive I saw a lady behind me complaining about the shrimp but I didn’t really zoom in or pay attention to her complaint. I ordered a shrimp basket with fried rice. When my food arrived half of it was cold (the rice and the hush puppies) when I bit into the shrimp I could taste that it was spoiled. The manager tells me it’s the seasoning. I explained to her that I know the taste of bad seafood. Any person that eats seafood all the time knows when it’s bad. 6 people in our party ordered the $88 boiled trays (which consist of boiled crawfish, crab and shrimp)they’re trays came out cold. I was sitting right where I can see inside the kitchen so I started paying attention to everything. When the door would swing open I could see inside the kitchen, they were reusing food from other customers plate that wasn’t eaten. I was livid and started feeling sick. When I go outside to leave they had 5 people from another group outside talking about the food was spoiled. My parents had ordered the fried fish and shrimp platter their shrimp were spoiled. Would you believe the manger Glennisha tried to only take 10% off my parents ticket when she knew the food was spoiled? Absolutely unbelievable!!! I heard good things about the Fiery Crab in Lafayette so I was excited to try the one in Lake Charles. Please do not go there. They are disgusting!!! I said to the manager “you know the food is spoil stop feeding that to these people.” If you were sick after eating at Fiery Crab May 31, 2019 you probably ate spoiled and/or...
