Magnolia Square — Attraction in Lake Charles

It's a suburban area mall. No better or worst than any other mall.

Online stores will soon put the final nail in the coffin of these relics and put them out of business. They can't compete with online merchants because they continue to increase pricing and it shows. When local retailers are 300-400% higher than online stores, it's only a matter of time. What I love most is the stores here advertise 20-30% off sales, after their merchandise doesn't move. Visited Fiery Crab, very busy place. Good was mediocre at best. Frozen sea food. Waitress had a real attitude of not caring. Waited over an hour after ordering to get our food, then only partial table was served. Definitely NOT worth the wait or the cost IMHO. First and last time to visit there. Manager came to table to see what orders were still missing and never seen again, took another 30 minutes to get remaining food. Then got slapped with an 18% mandatory tip on each ticket. 5% would have been stretching it. Oh well,...

I only go here because of the Vitamin Shop. That place is excellent. My issue is with the parking and entry and exit to this shopping center. The parking is terrible. It's as if the property owner decided to cram as many parking spots as possible into one place. Even worse is the Fiery Crab. Between the smell and the clientele, it's almost enough to keep me away from the shopping center. The Starbucks is fine but you have to deal with the same...
