My family and I are Absolutely Thrilled and Impressed with our experience at The Performers Academy in Lake Forest, CA!
As a family with a son aspiring to become an actor, we've found not just a training ground but a community that feels like home.
The professionalism of the acting coaches, the hands-on approach of the owner, and the excellent management team make this academy stand out.
Having worked in the Custom Couture Costume Industry for Broadway Theater, NYC and The Film Industry for Hollywood, CA for over 20 years, I can attest to the caliber of talent and dedication found here.
Moving from Brooklyn, NY to Orange County, CA during the pandemic was daunting, but discovering The Performers Academy was a game-changer.
Our chance encounter with a Mother whose children attended the academy while we were conducting Professional Alterations for her Daughter's Red Carpet event for her movie premiere in Los Angeles showcased the caliber of talent that is produced out of the Performers Acadmey.
The diverse range of acting techniques and genres covered, combined with the caring and successful coaches who are working professionals in the industry, ensure students receive training that is second to none.
From young children to adults, everyone finds their place here, fostering friendships and bonds beyond the classroom.
The dedication of our son, attending EVERY CLASS offered, speaks volumes about the quality of instruction and the supportive environment.

Read moreMy 8 year old son wanted to do some acting classes so i found The Performance Academy. He was so excited and ready to give it a try. I signed him up in November 21, 2015 for two classes and I paid for first and last month of $400.00 per their requirements.
After my son started the classes he immediately became fearful of one of his teachers. My son said that he was yelled at on several occasions. He yelled at my son in an aggressive way to "shut up" and to "get out of here" just because he showed up a couple minutes early before the prior class ended. My son was so intimidated he wanted to quit. I went into the office the 2nd week of December to consult with Barbara about the situation and that I wanted to cancel because of it. Barbara stated that it's "just his personality" and suggested that my sone drop that one class and keep with the other one as she stated my son has so much potential.
My son went back but nothing had changed and he begged me to take him out of their classes altogether. I then I went into their office and spoke with the owner Natalie directly because Barbara was busy. Natalie and I talked face to face and she agreed that I will "NOT BE CHARGED" in January because of my complaints. Natalie also suggested that my son should give it one more try in January since I've already paid for the last month and he was "supposedly" so talented and doing so well. I trusted her advice but I now regret it 100%.
The owner Natalie seemed so positive and nice at first and willing to be flexible with us to keep us enrolled. But when it came obvious that it wasn't going to work, her attitude changed and she backed out of her word. She was so rude to me and refused to return the January charge that she agreed we wouldn't be charged, claiming I signed an agreement requiring me to cancel 30 days prior.
Natalie and Barbara are so unprofessional. They will lie to you and they simply can't be trusted. I am so disappointed with the way their staff verbally abused my son and his other classmates. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. All they want is your money and they will tell you whatever you want to hear despite the situation...
Read moreMy daughter has known since she was 3 years old that she wanted to be an actress. Not a phase, not a whim—she’s been relentless in asking me to find her acting classes that weren’t musical theatre or play-based, but truly rooted in the craft of acting. We visited a few studios over the years, but she kept telling me, “It’s not quite right.” And then, thankfully, a friend introduced us to The Performers Academy.
From the moment we walked in, I saw it in her face—this was it. She gave me a little nod of approval that said, “You did it.” The staff, especially Makenzie, has been nothing short of extraordinary—patient, professional, and deeply tuned in to who my daughter is and the available pathways for her to pursue her craft. They’ve created a space where she feels seen, challenged, and supported.
She looks forward to her class every Saturday with so much joy and purpose. Watching her grow in confidence, skill, and self-expression has been one of the greatest gifts. If you have a child who is serious about acting and you’re looking for a place that truly honors that —this is...
