Highly recommended to go and learn a little about Lake Jackson history. The exhibitions are separate per periods of time, which make it easy to appreciate the town development . The museum has a circle form. I recommend to start in your right side where is the Karankawa exhibition, in that way you are going to see the museum in chronological order. The next exhibition is about the Jackson’s family and then there is the stair( there is also an elevator) in the middle. Go to second floor and continue with the next era. When you finish upstairs go down and finish the second half on first floor. Special exhibitions are usually in the middle of first floor. The museum has a lot of interesting information. My favorite part was a plane that is hanging in the middle of the museum. It was the first plane doing with a special lighter material, that was developed by two Lake Jackson’s dentist. We spent around an hour. Admission is free and they sell souvenirs that help to support the place.

This is a pretty neat place. It is basically telling the story of how lake Jackson and Dow chemical company came to be. Even has a small airplane hanging from the ceiling. There is also a section dedicated to tejano musician and star Selena who lived in lake Jackson for a while.

It is a small museum which features exhibits on the history of Lake Jackson. Very informative and well presented exhibits from its sugar plantation history to Selena's story and Dow Chemical, et al. We spent two hours in this museum during spring break. Really enjoyed it.

Love this place. Anytime I am bored with my kids we stop in and check out what's new. Lots of cool local items to learn about. The theater is like a step back in time and always playing a documentary that I have a hard time prying myself away from. The robotic statues of local heroes are cutting edge. The flight simulators are awesome. They have a fun event going on most weekends. The staff is more than friendly and I recommend this place to anyone who lives in Brazoria county or...

I do a lot of library research for work and this is the best organized and operated facility I have visited. Lindsay and Angela were immensely helpful and accomodating. Excellent research space and very well catalogued materials made it an enjoyable and productive experience. The DOW Chemical collection is very well catalogued and sorted. Lake Jackson is very fortunate to have this resource in...
