ALDI — Local services in Lake Jackson

I went there for a job interview and waited almost 2 hours past my interview time to be seen! The people in charge there have very poor time management skills, to say the least. When the interview finally started they took me and others applying on a tour of the store, which consisted of walking around the corner isle into their backroom! They started by telling us that if you cannot lift 40 pounds consistantly, or are looking for more than a few hours of work a week, to just go ahead and leave right now! It was very rude and strange to be treating us all that way, especially since the manager made us all wait for so long to be interviewed! She could have at least had the decency to tell everyone that information in the begining before making everyone wait. The job post stated they were looking for part time workers, then it changed to "only a couple hours a week" NEWSFLASH: NOBODY CAN LIVE OFF THAT! They said they were looking for workers that pass "the vibe check" -whatever that was supposed to mean! When I finally was sat down for the interview it felt very rushed, and my time was also rudely interrupted by their other manager. She stood there while we finished up, and it all felt very unprofessional. I remained positive throughout the entire process, but I would NEVER recommend trying to work here! I used to really enjoy shopping at ALDI, but knowing how they treat people who are applying for jobs there, and this horrible experience has left me...

Absolutely LOVE ALDI and used to make the drive out to Alvin to shop. Was so glad to finally get a store closer to home. I love so many things about this store - Always parking, cleaner than any other grocery chain in the area, never too busy, wide spacious aisles, the BEST employees who you can see really enjoy their job. I love that I shop here with my son weekly and the same familiar staff are always working and they always greet us like old friends. The selection is very decent, and seems to always be growing - if you're not too brand loyal you can save a TON of money shopping here. Their produce selection is adequate, but always fresh and always affordable. Their meat section is possibly the only area that is a little lacking, but you can find excellent deals on pork chops! My 11 month old son LOVES their very competitively priced organic baby food pouches, my husband is a sucker for their own-brand crackers and I love their 50c flavored waters. ALDI is a great place to shop if you're making a move toward Organic foods, they have a good selection and prices can't be beat. All in all we love this store and...

First of all, I'm a big fan of Aldi. They don't carry everything you would find in a Walmart Super Center, Kroger or HEB ... but what they do carry has a great price and is very good quality. Aldi is about simplicity, not about nine different kinds of toilet paper to choose from! Haha Aldi has an excellent "double guarantee" on everything they sell.

This store is somewhat disorganized, compared to other stores that I've visited. But, the shelves are fully stocked, the store is clean and they are staffed properly. You can get in and out of an Aldi store in minutes. Don't forget your quarter for the shopping cart, and remember to return it to get your quarter back.
