I am extremely anxious about getting color work done, and it took me a really long time to finally ¨bite the bullet¨ and make an appointment. I do NOT typically spend money on myself (on my kiddos instead), so I went ahead and contacted Urban Eve to inquire about an appointment. I was given an appointment for today (Saturday, 8/11/18) at 2:45p with Nataly. I confirmed the appt. yesterday for good measure. I arrived early at about 2:40, and there was not anyone at the desk. I sort of loitered around that area, until someone came around and asked if I could be helped. I relayed my info, was told I was welcome to some water in the back area if I wanted, and that Nataly would be with me in a few minutes. I sat down, and waited. I waited almost an hour. At one point, my husband (who had dropped me off) called me and asked if I had been seen yet. I had not, nor had anyone spoken a word to me. Without telling me he was going to do so, he called the front desk to inquire, and then texted me the info they gave him, which was that Nataly was a teeny bit behind but that another stylist would be jumping in. Mind you, I was NEVER spoken to by anyone employed by Urban Eve, though I was about 30 feet away from them. Why my spouse (who was not even present) had to be the go-between is beyond me. I saw clients arrive and go immediately with their stylists, while I sat, totally ignored...no updates, no conversation, nothing. Finally, around 3:30p, having seen two stylists finish with their clients and stand up front with the receptionist and a couple of other employees, I decided I was ready to leave. Not ONCE did anyone speak with me. I texted my spouse to come pick me back up (he had our young kids in the truck with him) and then I proceeded to the desk to essentially ¨cancel¨ my appointment with Nataly. The receptionist was then apologetic but ¨understood.¨ Seriously? You could not have made any effort to speak with me during the almost HOUR I was sitting in the same room with you? I have never before been made to feel so incredibly insignificant and unimportant in my adult life. It took a LOT for me to even make this appointment, in which I had planned to spend upwards of $200 (a HUGE amount to me!) only to be treated like I was "less than." I calmly canceled (almost in tears) and as I waited for my husband at the door, a stylist handed me a complimentary haircut card with NatalyŠname written on it. I left it on their coffee table, having absolutely zero interest in ever coming back and being treated like this again. I walked outside in the drizzling rain to get out of there, and waited for my spouse at CollinŠMusic. Nataly ended up calling sometime close to 5pm, and spoke with my spouse. She was so sorry, and said she has only been on the floor for 2 weeks, and really felt so terrible. That is all well and good, but could you not have stepped away for literally 3 minutes during my almost hour long wait to speak with me? Tell me you are running super late? Offer to reschedule?? No. Too little, too late. Urban Eve clearly has more than enough clients to sustain their business without needing to exercise common decency and manners. Thank you for having me rearrange my entire day to be treated like less than an afterthought....
Read moreZERO stars!! I went there on 1/26/18 for a haircut. I was booked with Jacey and thought nothing of it because hey I've been there before with no problems. First of all I ask for her to shorten my bob and that's it. When I get to the actual washing station she starts pulling my hair with her hands and mixes some shampoo in but the worst part is she gives me a head "massage". This torture last about 5 minutes so much pressure is put on my head. Finally I head to the haircut itself, not bad just trimming my hair but the worst part of this is when she decides to style my hair. Her hairdryer was beyond hot and she was aware and combined with that she started yanking my hair with her brush. It felt as if she was doing this on purpose, almost like I bothered her by being here. When she was finally finished she ends up having to trim my hair without the cape and leaves a mess all over my shoulders and shirt. She claimed she was going to clean me up but instead she used the same HOT blow dryer to make me sweat. The hair was sticking to my skin. Forward to today and I woke up with a lot of pain where she yanked my hair and used the HOT blow dryer. Ok common sense im going to complain, well guess what, they don't have any respect for customers as I call over my complain. Hey I'm pregnant I cant take anything strong for my pain but the front desk just keeps asking me = "so what do you want?" "I cant really do much for you." HELLO I paid almost 80 dollars for this painful haircut only for you to tell me nothing can be really done and they will send a message to management. I will wait until Monday and if nothing is done I can assure you that I will be there in person to voice my complain! I demand respect as a...
Read moreIâve been a loyal customer at this salon for the past four years and have always received exceptional service. However, my experience this past Saturday, February 15, 2025, fell far below those expectations.
I booked a cut and color with Lauren. This may have been my mistake, but when I sat down, I clearly explained that I wanted to lighten and brighten my hair. She asked for a moment to check if she had enough time to accommodate my request, even mentioning that a partial highlight might suffice. When she returned, she informed me that she didnât have time for the service I wanted and gave me two options: tone my hair to even it out or come back another day. She assured me that toning would blend my roots while preserving the lighter look I desired. Unfortunately, the result was much darker than I expected and completely opposite of what I had asked for.
As someone who is seven months pregnant, I was really looking forward to this appointment as a way to feel good about myself. Instead, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Iâve been trying to reach salon management since Monday, February 17, and despite multiple calls, I have yet to speak with anyone who can help resolve this issue. Itâs now Thursday, February 20, and the lack of communication has only added to my frustration.
The picture to the right is before, and the two to the...
