*Edited 7/15 to add: I reached out weeks ago by email, thanking them for the follow up and fully willing to discuss this. I've received nothing in response. Amazing. * I have literally spent a year trying to get a massage at this location. Last July, I booked 2 massages as a birthday gift for my boyfriend and myself. We arrived at the scheduled time and were told that our masseuse wasn't there yet. No big deal, stuff happens, that's fine. 15 minutes later, they tell us they're calling her emergency contact. Another 15 minutes later, they end up telling us that they need to cancel our appointment because they can't get ahold of her - and that they had already cancelled my boyfriend's appointment the day before and we weren't informed. They were booked out until October, so we accepted gift cards and decided to schedule at a later time. I called back in March to reschedule, got 2 appointments scheduled for May 2022. April 26th, I get a phone call that we need to be rescheduled. I explained to the woman who called that I understand things happen, but that this is the 2nd time it's happened and I would appreciate being put on a waiting list or having a note put on my appointment that we've already been thru this (twice now,) and would like to be prioritized so it doesn't happen again. She says absolutely, no problem, and we reschedule for June 4th, 2022. I got the confirmation text on 6/2 and the confirmation call on 6/3. Great, it's happening! Then I get a call the morning of June 4th - "we need to cancel one of your appointments, the employee is out, but we can offer $20 off a facial at that same appointment time." I told her to cancel everything and not contact me with any promotional offers going forward. This is quite literally the only experience I've ever had with your company. I can't believe that you allowed this to happen THREE times to the same person. I feel awful for the poor women who have the make the phone calls to clients, and the managers who are hiding behind them and offering BS discounts instead of fixing the problem should be ashamed...
Read moreI'm a firm believer in the therapeutic quality of a massage. A massage can reduce stress and increasing relaxation. It reduces pain, muscle soreness and tension, and improve circulation, energy and alertness. It can also lower heart rate and blood pressure. I joined Hand & Stone's membership program several years ago. It was a good value for the money, especially if you've ever had a message elsewhere, for example, on vacation at a resort spa. Although the basic technique of a massage may seem standard, I've found it hard finding a therapist that actual is entuned and can read the signals the body gives that you might not even be aware of....that person for me is Yan. I find Yan's therapeutic techniques to be a cut above. She has pointed things out about my muscles that I was unaware and noticed a significant change in how I felt when she has addressed those issues. I find that Yan's technique is not to mindlessly going thru the motions of a massage, but rather, provide the therapeutic techniques needed to make you feel incredible relaxed and my muscles have never felt better. I can't say enough good things about Yan, and highly recommend you give her a try. You...
