Update: 7.27.23- Still very hit & miss service. It can be very good, friendly & professional. Or, cold, unfriendly, and forgettable. The food, for the most part, is always very good. That's the only thing that brings us back.
Update: 11.15, 9am. Service is still surly, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. And the older lady w/the 90's blk choker is The worst. Why isn't she in the back making bread instead of dealing w/customers? 5 Stars for the food, three stars lost for the unfriendly and inconsistent customer service. In the morning, there is a tall, young man who is friendly and helpful, the other older women who work there and whose name tags read "Trainer" are unfriendly, ignore customers and seem very unhappy that they work in what used to be a very cool place.
** Review for 2017 Last week we had an early dinner there with all the grand kids and their dad and the food was excellent and the service was crazy good. There was a girl walking around wiping off tables and picking up dirty dishes and our buzzer never got a chance to go off because one of the young men working behind the counter, brought out our food!
Our salads were fresh and delicious, the bread was good as always and the girls always eat the broccoli cheese soup bowls and they cleaned their plates. Btw, I stop there often in the morning to pick up one of the little mini quiche pies for breakfast, and they are always on point, as are the scones and cookies. What a shame that the food can be so good, but the customer service and suck so bad....does anyone read the reviews? I hope so... we're lucky to have such a nice place in our community, too bad the employees don't realize how...
Read morePanera Bread is a very reliable place to get very good food and excellent drinks. I really don't use the the bakery service much anymore, though I used to like to get there bagels and baguettes, which have always been good. Every so often I will bring some bagels into work. I do wish that Google listed an additional rating category beyond food, service, and atmosphere. Namely, value. My son and I got lunch and with tip it was $55. He got The Spicy Take Chicken Sandwich and I got the Green Goddess Cobb salad. He got a mango smoothie. I got one of their sugar-free charged drinks (with caffeine). I am torn, because the salads are always excellent. They really are "clean", meaning there is no old or wilted lettuce like you often find in salads many places. You don't need to look through your salad to try to pick out the unfresh gunk. That is certainly worth a lot. I'm not absolutely sure it is worth $20, but I do have some additional add-ins. Anyway, we go here because they are absolutely reliable, and because we can put in an online order using their app and by the time I drive from my house to the restaurant it is ready for me to grab off the shelf. We rarely stay in the restaurant to eat. Anyway, Panera is right near some kind of economic tipping point where their higher prices are just barely justified by the quality of their food. I'm sure that is exactly where...
Read moreI ordered an iced coffee on the app for rapid pick-up and the empty cup wasn’t on the rapid pick-up shelf at the designated time of pick-up. After standing at the bakery register and watching them fill orders for 10 minutes being completely ignored I finally verbally approached the server, Lori. When I asked her if they were ordering at that register she said no. I continued by telling her my preorder cup wasn’t on the rapid pick-up shelf. She rudely said “the cups are over there” and pointed to a small table that was hidden behind other patrons standing around the order area. I came back to her and said there wasn’t a large cup there and that I had ordered iced coffee. She stormed over to the cups behind the counter, stuck a large cup up to me and said “is this what you’re looking for? If there not out there then we haven’t had time to restock them!” All this she did while others looked on at the situation. It was very embarrassing and I was made to feel like I did something wrong when in fact, my order for a simple empty cup had not been filled in over 20 minutes by this point. I understand they’re busy. I understand things being missed and them having to deal with a lunch rush and multiple orders. However, there is never a need to be rude to someone asking a simple question and there is definitely never a place for shaming someone in front of...
