I was excited to hear a more affordable grocery store would be coming to my area so I decided to try it out being there was one close to my job. The prices are definitely great! However the cashier, Patricia was probably one of the rudest people i have met in my life! She yelled at a customer in front of me and when it wad my turn to come up to the pay I said "Hi, how are you?" Her response was "cash or card?" I'm new here so I don't know the procedure, she scanned my items and threw them into a cart. I thought I b was supposed to take it to the line with my bag and load them. When I went to walk away she snatched the cart back and help it by her side. I said " I'm new here, I just bag them here in the cart? " no response... I loaded my 8 items and said "thank you, have a nice day". Nothing. Just sat there rolled here eyes with the most miserable look on her face. It's safe to say I'll never be back into an Aldis again. I understand cheaper groceries might me lack of customer service, but it cost no extra tome or money to be kind. Its only 27 bucks... but i worked my butt for for an hour for that 27 bucks and i couldnt even get a hello? I'll pay extra for my food if it means I get treated with dignity and respect. Aldis you might want to consider a hanging some sort or disclosure in your lobby for us new comers so they can be more prepared when they get to the line and feel like a fool. It doesn't matter how good the store looked or how great the prices are... that cashier was my last impression of the store and i won't...
Read moreI wanted to share the poor customer service experience I had today with a register clerk by the name of Keandra. Her name I got from the receipt she’d given me. I had my Aldi’s big tote bag in hand and only 4 items on the assembly line to be rung..I placed the bag in the first top area of the cart, so that she wouldn’t need to place them into the cart itself but in my bag. I even opened it up for her to easily place it in. Instead she began shoving it behind the bag in the cart to the point where one of the items fell between the openings of the cart onto the bottom. I tried to tell her she can just put it into my bag itself and the smirked while looking away. The look on her face and clear disregard of what I said was completely rude and uncalled for. This message it to the manager this young lady needs proper customer service etiquette, because this behavior shouldn’t be tolerated by any customer. If she’s visibly unhappy with her job position perhaps she needs to find another one. I am a local that frequents this store and have had other register clerks do the exact opposite and show kindness however this young lady does not. I’m not sure what I have done to be treated like this but I would like this issue dealt with and resolved. I’ve escalated this claim to corporate as this wasn’t the first incident hence why i’m even taking this time to write about the...
Read morePros: -sufficient variety to satisfy your grocery needs -friendly staff & superior customer service -fast -best prices -sustainable practices (carts & bagging)
Cons: -occasionally sub-par produce (look carefully) -don't always have what you need in stock -do not have phones at individual locations (must go in to address issues)
Disclaimer: I'm an Aldi groupie Aldi is the best grocery store anywhere. This location is no different. Aldi doesn't overwhelm you with options. They offer excellent deals on produce and, well, everything else too. Their cashiers are the fastest and friendliest around. Once, I lost a key in the store and a manager helped me look for it (I found it). Supply chains are a bit wonky, so there are 2 items that I can't always find (chickpeas, unsalted sunflower seeds, and seedtastic bread). Some people complain about the quality of the produce, but just open your eyes and check what you grab. And if you have issues, they are more than willing to facilitate a refund/exchange. Covid policies are generally good (wipes and sanitizer available) although I occasionally notice a cashier wearing their mask below their nose. Also, some shoppers don't understand the aisle flow (the arrows are there for a reason!). Overall, I find very little to complain about at Aldi. I love it, and...
