Lake Stevens disc golf course is located in Catherine Creek Park. It has 19 different holes and each of them has an alternate tee which gives you 38 tee shots if you go around twice. The course is mostly set in a forest, in some cases shots are over bogs, and there are a few shots towards the end in open space including a couple long downhill shots. The interesting thing about this course is the design of the baskets. Super unique old school baskets that are quite difficult to drop a disc in because of four vertical pipes that wrap around from top to bottom, giving the baskets a sort of egg shape. If the putt isn't perfect, as in not just hitting the basket but hitting it in a certain spot, the disc will bounce off one of those cross bars. Fun challenge! All the people I met were friendly and quick to help when I couldn't find the next hole. Each hole has a nice map of the shot as well. Overall I quite enjoyed playing this course and will stop again next time I'm...
Read moreI played this course about a week ago, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m from FL and I’m here on business. I met some avid golfers while there and they were kind enough to allow me to play a round with them. This course calls for just about every trick in your arsenal. There are elevation changes, trees galore, undergrowth, a few bogs, and probably the most challenging baskets you’ll ever face. I’m not a fan of the baskets, but the course is so great how can you not give this place 5 stars. Some holes do cross each other’s paths, so pay attention when walking thru, you could be in someone’s lane without knowing. I found this course map online, just in case anyone needs it. I definitely recommend playing this course to anyone. The majority of the holes are short par 3’s, but good luck! I totally recommend waiting for a local to play to play with. It’s easy to get turned around in there, and everyone I’ve met there...
Read moreI recently moved from Georgia and have hit 30 of the disc golf courses in the southeast and now I'm in Seattle so I've started to look around here too. The whole course pretty much as in the woods so if you're looking just to let her rip you're not going to get a whole lot of that here you better be accurate. But he's our combination of poured concrete and cement tiles. Being in the trees there's quite a bit of leaf matter falling on them so I went out and sweep them all off today. Mostly Par 3. Lots of elevation changes. Several different types of cups that I hadn't seen which made it interesting. Whoever is taking care of this must have went out in the past week or two and laid down quite a bit of fresh bark mulch. The only problem is very little parking. During school you may have to park on the street leading up to the school which the course is on the...
