On the very North end of Lake Stevens is The Creekside Alehouse & Grill. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu offered a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, and each one I tried was a culinary delight. I stopped into Creekside Ale House while waiting for a friend and was immediately intimidated since the bar was full of locals and I didn’t know anyone. Thankfully, the bartender, Brandon, completely changed the experience. He was friendly, attentive, and seemed to know everyone’s name. He kept me company until my friend arrived, which made me feel welcome instead of out of place. I first ordered an espresso martini, which Brandon tried to make properly, even asking his manager for the right ingredients… but unfortunately, they didn’t have any coffee or espresso on hand. Instead, the manager substituted with a coffee caramel liqueur. It didn’t taste bad, but it’s not how an espresso martini is supposed to be made. Since it’s a common cocktail, I’d recommend the owner take Brandon’s advice and stock the right ingredients so guests get the drink as intended. On the flip side, the green tea shot was incredible. I ended up ordering two because they were that good. Overall, Creekside is a cozy local spot made better by a skilled and personable bartender. Brandon really made my visit worthwhile, and I’ll be back (hopefully for a proper espresso martini next time).

My wife and I ordered pick-up and asked for the meat loaf. The pictures below is what we received, and yes it look nothing like what meat loaf should be. They are as thin as the green beans that came with the meal and a little bit bigger than some bacon strips. I called to ask if this was a mistake and our server told us that that is in fact how they come now. $30 for meat strips… Our server said he would let the owners know so I was going to see if they would correct this but did not get a phone call back. So here is the photo of the meat loaf (strips) and all of its glory. I ordered the meat loaf a long while back, and it actual came as a loaf and not this non sense. If I could give zero stars I would. Hopefully it gets better.

We did not have a pleasant experience when we visited. We came in for lunch and we were seated at a table where my friends ordered a few beers. The waiter brought them out, left, and came back in a few minutes to tell us that their cook didn't show up today (?) and so the food would be taking a little longer than usual. Okay, no big deal, we're basically the only ones in the place so whatever. So he gives us a few minutes to look at the menu and then comes back again and tells us that they would only be serving fried food and nothing else. And not all fried food, but only a subset (presumably just the stuff that comes frozen in big plastic bags from GFS). I guess whoever was cooking couldn't handle making a sandwich or a salad? I get that they aren't the normal chef, but how hard is it to put some lunch meat on a couple pieces of bread? Since my friends were already 1/4 of the way through their beers, we decided to stay and order some fried food. It came out about half an hour later and it was fine, but it was clearly frozen, as we suspected. When we got the bill, they didn't provide any discounts to account for the fact that the entire process took upwards of an hour and they were only serving 1/4 of their menu. I get it, stuff happens, but if your cook doesn't show up and the rest of the staff can't even handle making a sandwich, maybe you should just close for the day? Or at least tell people that you aren't serving food when they walk in instead of letting them order drinks and get situated before you spring the news on them. My friends said the beers were pretty...

Tonight we had our very first experience at Creekside Alehouse in Lake Stevens, and let me just say—it was phenomenal from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were crafted perfectly, and the atmosphere was so welcoming that we immediately felt right at home. What really made the night so special, though, was the personal touch. The owner herself came out to greet us, and she was nothing short of amazing—warm, genuine, and clearly passionate about her place and her community. You can tell she cares deeply about creating not just a restaurant, but a space where people can gather, laugh, and truly enjoy themselves. That kind of energy is rare, and it makes all the difference.

As new locals here in Lake Stevens, we are always on the lookout for spots where we can unwind, connect, and enjoy good food and drinks—and Creekside Alehouse checked every single box. It already feels like the kind of place we’ll be coming back to often, whether it’s for a casual night out, celebrating with friends, or just grabbing a bite because we know it’ll hit the spot.

The food? Flavorful, fresh, and beyond what we expected. The drinks? Smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care. The service? Friendly, attentive, and filled with that small-town charm we’ve been craving since moving here.

Thank you, Creekside Alehouse, for such a wonderful first night. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go—you’ll see exactly...

I don't recommend at all. Went in there tonight around 6:30pm for the first time and it wasn't busy, even though the Farmers Market was happening. Didn't get any direction as to seat ourselves or to wait or to order at the bar. My friend just walked up to the bar and got her drink, but as I was trying to decide the bartender totally ignored me, and was very standoffish when she did turn her attention to me. I decided on a cider, which she said was on the sweeter side, but it turned out to be very tart. Than I sat down inside with my friend and we waited 15 minutes for menus or any kind of service. They only had one waitress at dinner time and she apparently wasn't allowed to help with pouring drinks because she just stood at the bar. However she couldn't stand still and was very jittery. She served everyone dining outside but never once came and asked us what we wanted. The bartender came about 20 feet from us to talk to her loud "friends" playing pool but totally ignored us after we had told her at the bar that we were there for food and drinks. After about 20 mins of being ignored, we got up without finishing my drink, paid our tabs, left and went somewhere else. On top of that I felt really uncomfortable and unsafe there. Maybe that's your kind of place but for me I won't be returning or...
