This park has done a 180 it has a kids splash park which is awesome. The grass area is great for families to hang out and post up. The fishing dock is now more of a swimming dock so it's not the best spot to fish now but overall a great spot. Gotta thank the city of lake Stevens for the great lake side spot for families to enjoy. (Edit) as of the summer of 2021 they added an entire little kids section to the park and a area with bathrooms, electric, tables and a roof for parties ect next to the kids playground. The park was vandalized when first put up unfortunately... I spoke with city council and they put up cameras in discrete locations that watch over the park. I also told them to stop using weed killer and poisonous powders near the kids splash park where kids can step in it bare foot. It's a group effort people our voices...

I can see the potential on this place. The one thing we absolutely loved is that the beachfront was very soft and sandy versus Lundeen which is a little more on the rocky side and tends to have broken glass. I like lundeen because I have two toddlers and it doesn't get super deep, this one is definitely a swimming hole which is great for older kids. We initially came for the spray pad but unfortunately after spending a few hours here we left because it never came on. I have no idea what time it turns on but it definitely is not on before noon on a Sunday or at least it wasn't for us today (and yes we did push the button on the ground😂😭). I wish information on the spray pad was a accessible or at least there was a sign posted...

It was nice and peace before the swearing pre teens and teens got out of middle school and high school. They really ruined the atmosphere. These kids seriously need to think about others and the city needs a fun place for just them. Anyways the park is highly setup for folks in a wheelchair. The playground has astro turf, easy to roll over, a ramp down to the park and up to the slides, a wheelchair accessible merry go round and an assessible swing for my paraplegic daughter to swing back and forth and lay down on. Well designed and thought out. The beach is small and maybe easy to access for her to get into the water,...

I really enjoyed this fun little lake spot! It offers grassy areas for lounging, a sandy section for beach play, a dock for jumping into the water, and even a splash pad and playground for the kiddos. Bonus: it’s super close to charming little shops, and there are bathrooms on-site (always a win). The only downside is that it can get very crowded, and parking is a bit of a challenge. There also isn't really any shade, so make sure to bring a pop up tent or umbrella! Still a fantastic place to soak up the summer! We did see some dogs swimming there too, so seems dog friendly!

The Veterans Memorial is beautiful and lit. It's sad that it can not be seen from the street, but it is amazing. I'm still not sure why the dock has no safety rails as it looks kind of dangerous, but maybe it is just not done yet. They are working on the shelters for rent, where the houses used to be, and the bridge has been taken out between the back way into city hall, which is a good thing, IMO. Now we just need to keep people out of the creek during salmon spawning, and it is deeper, so it must have been dredged.
