This place has 0 accountability and extremely lacks customer service. Long story short, a couple of weeks ago my driver head flew off my shaft and rolled about 70 yards down center of the range. Immediately, I went to the clubhouse to let the staff know to see if they could inform the employee driving the cart so he could look out for it. The clubhouse staff said there was nothing he could do and that I’d have to wait til morning. I called for 5 straight days asking about it, each time I was told nothing was there. On the 5th day, I got ahold of a manager and he was able to look into the cart bins and said he had found it. Literally a 3 minute process. I just went to pick it up yesterday and it’s absolutely mangled. It’s dented, scratched, and just brutally mangled. I’ve sent emails to Chicago parks district and Diversey directly, as well as calling Diversey to see if they can make things right. Nobody seems to care. As people who golf, how could you treat a fellow golfer and his equipment like complete trash? An issue that could’ve been handled the moment it happened has turned into a complete mess, leaving me with unusable equipment and now I’ve lost money on it. Nothing but disrespect and no accountability. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreAMAZING spot for outdoor kids' mini golf parties! Mary was exceptionally helpful, accommodating, communicative, friendly, and made our party magic happen. Our friends were as in awe as we were -- it was an easy space to give kids room to play independently while adults could mingle. BYO food & bev is easy or there is a restaurant right there as well. Renting the facility for a private party is reasonably priced, easy to book, and very accommodating of COVID safety and cancellations due to potential uncertainty with the weather. Diversey Range and Mini-Golf is a Chicago gem, tucked away along the lakeshore, perfect for family funday / family night out. Easy access, easy parking, and everyone who works here is so friendly, kind, and helpful. The range culture of fellow city golfers is accommodating of kids learning how to hit, and having the mini golf course right there is the perfect intro to get kids excited to play as they can watch folks on the range -- or come mini-golf as a treat after. We love this awesome community treasure! Thank you Mary, and thank you to your team! We had a blast and love...
Read moreIf you want to feel better about your golf swing, take a trip the the Diversey range. The place is Butch Harmon's personal hell. Oddly cocked arms, knee bends, lifting heads and off-balance stabs are just the start. You'll see everything from duffers to scratch golfers, kids and group lessons. The place is as representative of diverse golf swings as Chicago is of diverse people and personalities. The bathrooms, which are super gross, are the kind where you would not be surprised to see a dead body. In fact, I'm relieved every time I walk in and the only thing on the ground is mystery liquid. That said, it's a nice golf haven in the concrete jungle of Chicago. Even on busy days parking is never an issue. And where else can you play "plunk the guy driving the cart picking up the golf balls" within a reasonable drive. [get it, drive]The availability of a second, elevated tier will add an additional 20 yards per club should you need an ego boost. Not sure if I like the place because there is no other option or I genuinely like the place, but I'm a weekly customer and don't plan to change my routine...
