Nate is wonderful! He listened to me. He listened to what I wanted and of course it was my first time there. I was a little nervous which is normal but he is so nice and so personable He really put my mind at ease and he really really listened to me. That's the most important thing for me. He listened to what I wanted and then that's what he did. I love my new haircut! I have very short hair and he gave it a beautiful shape and I am so so so happy with it! I will be going back. This is the only person I will let cut my hair in the city of Chicago. So while I'm in Chicago which will be a few more years, this is where I will be going and this is who will be cutting my hair! 😊 The loft he's in is adorable. It has beautiful plants. It has such a warm feeling, The whole atmosphere is very welcoming and very warm. I'm so happy I made the choice to go there. Nate did an amazing job on my hair!

I have 3a-3b coarse curls. My ends were dry and my hair was overall in need of a fresh shape up.

Nate sincerely listened to my concerns and also offered his recommendations. My hair can be tricky and deceiving, but he came through with such an amazing cut! He really took his time to be precise and sculpt my layers. He worked with my mixed curl pattern and uneven density to give my hair an amazing silhouette. My shape is beautiful, the layers are weightless and texturized so my heavy hair can curl more, and something about the way he cut my hair has made my wash-n-go styling WAY easier-- there's no funky spots or areas i have to shape to make my hair look better. My wash-n-go styles come out predictably which rarely happens for me. Nate was also so warm and welcoming, patient, thoughtful, and fun!

I happened to stumble upon Nate/Salon Ten 71 after a quick search to see if I could find a last minute appointment for a blowout in the area. From the very first moment I reached out, Nate was so professional and accommodating. Not only is he incredibly talented (I immediately trusted him completely), he has wonderful energy; I talked his ear off because I was so comfortable with him. I came in with dry, tangled mom-of-two-kids-under-2.5 hair in a bun, and after a silk press and a trim with him, my hair looks and feels fantastic.
