Lincoln Park Waveland Tennis Courts — Attraction in Lake View Township

This beautiful spot needs to be upgraded asap - safety on several fronts is at stake. The tennis courts on the north side of Waveland are run down, need to be resurfaced, and definitely need lighting for evening play and player safety. Additionally, pathway lighting on the north side of @Waveland needs to be insttaled - if you are a runner or are trying to walk your doggo, it is dangerous after nightfall. Last - safety cameras are mandatory - many are victims of smash & grabs in the middle of the day - I myself was a victim on a bright Saturday afternoon when my car was burglarized btw 2:30-4 pm in the afternoon & thieves used my credit cards to attempt over 11K in charges on Rush St at 4:36 pm that day while I still was on the courts playing tennis. TENNIS CREATED SPACE FOR ME , IT WAS A CONDUIT TO BE HIGHLY SOCIAL & VOCAL !

TENNIS BRIDGED THE GAP BETWEEN THE PRIVLEDGED AND THE " LESS WELL TO DO " . IN OTHER WORDS , IF YOU HAD A STELLAR GAME , YOU COULD FIT IN . IF NOT , YOU GRABBED MORE PINE THAN IS , HUMANELY POSSIBLE !

Weekend mornings, courts are usually at least 50% filled by drills / reserved lesson, so recommend coming later in day to avoid wait. 6 courts to a bank means balls are frequently rolling onto other courts (especially if drills are going on).
