When we arrived I asked a mid-aged tall woman if she could let me know where to look for jeans. She said that she could take me over to the aisle and show me. She was very helpful and I even asked her another question about whether they sold diabetic socks. She said she'd be glad to check in the back & came back within 5 minutes to tell me there were none at this time, but they should be getting some more soon. She apologized for the inconvenience and was just the sweetest person you could have asked to help you in your experience shopping. That's the high point of my experience Today; the employees there, are Friendly, Efficient, hard-working & extremely Professional & truly Care about their Customers! The DOWNSIDE - BIG PROBLEM FOR CUSTOMERS IN GENERAL & Exponentially for SENIOR CITIZENS & DISABLED PEOPLE, like myself! The NEW COVID-19 RULES @ THE GOODWILL STORE has made it undesirable & physically impossible for myself and many more of the population! The RESTROOMS & FITTING ROOMS are NOT OPEN to the CUSTOMERS, ONLY to EMPLOYEES! This could be FIXED EASILY by Hiring or bringing back a former Employee who has been Laid off due to CoVid -19 Staff CUTBACKS who could work as a Floater/ whose Primary Duty is to Continuously keep all Surfaces in Fitting Rooms and Restroom Surfaces Sanitized each time a Customer returns the Restroom or Fitting Room key to Customer Care Staff. Also, this is the ONLY STORE I've been to that has a Small Paper Sign with Instructions to please clean your own shopping Carts with a Couple of Spray Bottles of presumably Disinfectant & Paper Towels, but, NO HAND SANITIZER to be sure the Bottles aren't infected by people using the people using them. THIS POLICY is NOT for the SAFETY Or Betterment of the PUBLIC & CUSTOMERS! It is an ABSENCE OF CARE & LAZINESS of OWNERS & MANAGEMENT by a Bad COST CUTTING measure that is ill-conceived, Heartless & Unnecessary! NO MATTER whether the POLICY is LOCAL OR Corporate, rather than PUNISH YOUR PATRONS, THE PEOPLE who SPEND the ($MONEY$) that keeps your BUSINESS OPEN! PLEASE DON'T FORGET YOUR MISSION STATEMENT & HOW the SENIORS & DISABLED COMMUNITIES & the GENERAL PUBLIC are in NEED of the same CARE & SUPPORT as they HAVE donated through Generosity & Patronage to GOODWILL since...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely ridiculous....if I could give them zero stars I would. This is the 3rd tome I've had a bad experience in this store, so I will never go there again. Every couple of months my husband and I go to all the Tacoma area Goodwills (roughly 10) and go to the 4 where we live (near Olympia). We collect vintage items (glass, etc) and we sometimes have sent really good luck finding valuable items. Anyway, today was the last straw for me at this location (and maybe all the others). We were in line, had been in line for about 10 minutes because they only had 1 lane open. After about 10min they opened up another lane, and instead of grabbing the next person in line (she'd been waiting roughly 12min) they grab 2 people who were walking by to just get in line. Now, mind you there were 6 people in line behind me, which would make a lot of people ahead of them. So I said something and the person who had been standing up there setting up a display (pretty sure it was a manager) straight up said "we don't have any other cashier's, only the 1". This was a bold faced lie.....they opened another lane I giegu specifically for these people, because they acted like they all knew each other. Oh, and the lady in front of me was angry as well and a person behind me that had a bunch of items left. They opened another lane because we were upset, so myself and another lady got in that line....well when she told us to go in that lane we weren't told that it was a card only line. Why isn't there another lane that has a til? Not everyone has cards, and then when she announced that after me, there were people in line that were paying cash so they had to wait in line, but other people who just came up to the line got to skip the long line. This is absolutely ridiculous. Oh, by the way, this happened 1 time before, but I let it go. Well not this time. I will be making a complaint to Goodwill. If they care about their customers they will address it. I guess it pays to know people that work there to skip a bunch of people in line and have your own line. I definitely wouldn't recommend going to...
