I gave 5 stars across the board. Here is how that works.... It's a German bakery. I'm not German, but my two friends that brought me there 4 lunch are German. Very German. So very excited about this place. So 1st the food. The special was sausage and potato salad. With half of a buttered roll. Very delicious. The serving size was perfect, since u were left with room for dessert. And didn't have 2 fuss with leftover doggy bags. The desserts are over the top fancy. My girlfriend bought a slice of this chocolate cake that everyone there was drooling over. To go. So for only $8.00, she was set up for late night movie and cake! Next was service. It did seem very personalized. Even though there were only a few people working the front, they took ample time with each and every customer. There is no self seating, and u pay first, while u order, at the front register. Very cozy setup, u can make friends with everyone in line, enjoying all the beautiful pastries in the display case. All the little German ladies r there 2 purchase a little taste of many different desserts, and time is taken 2 gently and carefully slice and package these selections for the many admirers shopping. So what u buy is freshly sliced at the time of purchase. Nice. Next is atmosphere. Charming and familiar. Almost like being at a very loved, distant relatives for a special occasion. We were even blessed with the appearance of the cutest tiny dogs I have ever seen! Gems and glitter on their halters and leashes. Which were worn only to accessories, since their human parents carried them with loyalty. Well there u have it. Oh, the parking lot is small. And the place is popular. But when we parked, there were maybe 2 or 3 spaces free. So it's always fun when I get the last, or almost last parking spot. Very satisfying. Just like this little...

Read moreWow wow wow. So excited to find the German deli around the corner from my construction project. This place is traditional and authentic. The ladies behind the counter all could speak fluent German the day I went. (Today, aug 5)
The deli has a wide range of German classic cured meats, and cheese. Along with packages of sausages, wursts, head-cheeses and other bravarian prussian delights.
Traditional pretzel rolls are the only bread option I got for the sandwiches. They were amazing. The sandwiches come loaded with your choice of meats and cheese. They are $5.95 each and one is more filling than a 6” fast food subway style sandwich. The traditional way to get these is with your meats, cheese, mustard and butter. So so good. The woman helped me order and gave me a spicy salami with dill havarti. Really incredible.
There are many different butters, krauts, herring, and German candies to choose from throughout the deli’s aisles. Also spaetzle noodles and powdered sauces do you can make your own traditional German dishes at home. Such a great store. Really good prices for imported good.
Also the staff all seemed super friendly knowledgeable and helpful.
I only poked my head into the bakery next door but that looked amazing as well. Several different streusels and many other goodies you would see at a bakery in Berlin...
