I wanna put this review out here so nobody else gets fked over on this when it comes to drinks, the bartenders over there usually they were really good with their friendliness but would I recommend it? NO here’s why, we had a bartender named Jessie, she was cool and everything first of all I never got my gumbo soup I ordered (food service was backed up and I never got to eat but only appetizers), only the platter and a few drinks, she has only mentioned about paying for a tab on whoever was paying for not even to let us know if we wanted to keep the tab open or closed for future orders during our stay. Needless to say, after a few hours in, she has never mentioned to ask us for our receipt but only if we’re good, after we had our celebration of taking a shot with her that she was pushing for recommendations of the lemon drop shots to drink with all of us and herself included while on the clock, she failed to ask us if we were gonna pay for our separate shots (only asked in general if we were gonna go half or separate earlier but failed to follow up) but instead assumed to put all on my tab. The next day, she saw one of our pictures through mutual on social media and had to audacity to remind us to pay our tab through people we both knew, leaving us around total of $109 when that wasn’t the case when my cousin called in. that the bartender lacked the responsibility to keep us updated and let us be aware of what we ordered regardless if we are customers or not. I was livid, I hope that sharing this experience as a review on here lets people be reminded that you have to be very mindful that you cannot get swindled like this especially in a bar. I do recommend the overall great atmosphere and food is good but I feel like this was not okay experience for a first time for me. I respect the service workers in the restaurant and bar industry as they work tremendously hard to keep up with the demands and expectations for an amazing experience but at the same time, I cannot allow stuff like this to be passed by because someone’s lack of accountability and responsibility to make sure that their communication is always prioritized so stuff like this never happens again.
(Forgot to mention that miscommunication can honestly ruin a customer experience especially for stuff like this, so please always communicate with your customers.) God bless. Maybe next time it...
Read moreFirst off can I just start by saying AMAZING SERVICE! I called on Tuesday for a reservation on Saturday. The gentleman that answered immediately took my reservation and said I have up until the morning of to finalize the head count. I called Saturday morning to change it from 26 ppl to 30 and they immediately changed it. My siblings and I along with all our babies brought mom here to celebrate her 62nd birthday by having dinner and we could not have made a better choice. I got there a little early to check in and they had us seated way before our dinner reservation time. I wish we got the servers names but we didn’t (it was 1 guy and 1 lady) they were just so awesome they got drink orders right away and always checked when more ppl came for the bday celebration. When we go out for dinner as a family we know we are a big family so we normally write our orders down so it’s easy on the waiters / waitresses. They have exceptional customer service and Idk if it was the owner or manager but they came out to show their appreciation to us by blessing our mama the bday guest with lots of gifts. We didn’t only feel comfortable in their setting but we felt like family that is how well we were treated. To the staff who was hosting our dinner on 4/15/2023 hats off and job well done. My mom said this is a dinner to remember so - from the reservation to the customer service and most of all that FOOD was BOMB! THANK YOU ALL!!!!* I’ve been here a few times but they have surpassed our satisfaction with so much of us and everything was well served. Thank you ZESTY especially those who hosted us. Continue that amazing service and I know for sure people will keep spreading the word at how well executed everything is and return with more and more customers. Glad mama had a great time! Read morezesty’s is a decent casual restaurant but there’s this one chick that works there named Sharon that shouldn’t work there. she said she’s the manager but there’s no way. i’ve had her as a “waitress” a couple times and the service has always been sub par. i tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and assumed she was having a bad day the first time. the next time it was slightly busy but not unmanageable so my party just had patience. today it was absolutely empty. there was 1 other person in the bar area with us. it was happy hour and we had to ask for a happy hour menu. there was 3 of us and she brought 1 menu. my food took forever. i ordered the cajun soup and i guess they ran out of salt and pepper. it made a can of campbell’s chunky soup seem like michelin star worthy cuisine. my sister ordered a salmon dish and it taste like hospital food. my brother ordered chicken pasta that was super bland and the chicken must have been playing hide and go seek because it was difficult to find. there was like 2 chicken nuggets worth of chicken with a whole box of penne noodles in the bowl. our water cups were empty most of the time we were there. we had to ask for water and then she didn’t come back to refill the cups until we were done. Sharon never asked if i wanted another drink. i would’ve ordered several drinks had she checked in with the table like she was supposed to. she brought new food and didn’t take the old dishes off the table. the taste of the food and how long it took to make didn’t match. the food is normally good but today was a swing and a miss. we waited 30 minutes for our check before we just decided to leave. if Sharon wanted our money she would’ve came to get it way sooner or done a better job. thanks for the free food and drinks Sharon! shoutout to the other waitress that was there that helped us even though we weren’t their table. if someone that doesn’t have one of those service aprons on comes to your table, ask for an actual waitress. the alleged “manager” sucks… her...
