I hosted my daughter’s birthday at Playmazing, and while my daughter had fun, the staff made it a stressful experience. I encountered numerous issues that I hope the business takes seriously based on feedback from other 1-star reviews.
The booking process was frustrating—despite submitting the required form, I received no follow-up from them for several days. I had to visit the facility to ensure the date was secured, which felt like an odd burden on the customer.
Upon arrival, I was bombarded with reminders of the rules, even though I was already aware of them. This defensive approach was uncomfortable and unnecessary. One guest was treated rudely by staff, which I later had to apologize for, and the situation escalated when the manager pulled me aside to complain about my guest. This was unprofessional and felt petty.
The rules around decorating were rigid and communicated poorly, such as the rule limiting the number of adults helping to decorate, despite no actual safety concern. This level of interaction by the staff was unnecessary only added anxiety to the day.
At the end of the party, when I needed collect my credit card, the staff member made a scene, implying I had left the room in disarray, which was embarrassing in front of other guests in the lobby. Even though I knew the rules and paid for extra adults (which were not accommodated with extra seating in the party room), their hostile approach made me feel like I was being treated as a potential rule-breaker rather than a paying customer.
To make matters worse, after the event, the owner responded to a review by one of my guests, once again involving me in a matter that was not my concern. This unprofessional behavior only added to my negative experience.
I do not recommend Playmazing for hosting events. The staff/Owner is rude, and their customer service is poor. I hope they take feedback seriously and make changes to improve the experience for...
Read moreI am absolutely overjoyed that this place has opened up here in the AV. There's nothing else like it. No more driving all the way to Santa Clarita for indoor playgrounds that are not as nice or well-run. Playmazing is clean, well-designed and safe. All the playground equipment was an absolute blast for my energetic 7 year old daughter. It was packed with kids, but with the clever layout, it didn't feel crowded at all. It was clearly built with an obvious understanding of and love for children.
But the most remarkable thing about Playmazing is their outstanding staff. From the warm, friendly phone conversation before we went, to the lovely greeting when we arrived, we could not have been treated better. Jayleene, Jake and Deanna were tireless in keeping the place spotless and providing constant help and piece of mind for a parent desperately in need of a break. I was so comfortable and relieved that I didn't have to watch my daughter every second. I can't thank them enough.
Best of all was the amazing manager, Lorena. She was so sweet, supportive and loving, I consider her a guardian angel. When I finally was able to get my girl ready to leave (she didn't want to), I got emotional about the joy on my child's face and the wonderful time she and I had there. Lorena was so understanding and genuine, hugging me not once, but several times. As a single mom dealing with a recent open heart surgery, deaths in the family and other stressful circumstances, I was so grateful for her compassion and thoughtfulness, as well as the incredible play space she manages.
I can't imagine why anyone would give this place and their staff anything less than an enthusiastic 5 stars. We'll be going back at least once a week and recommending them to...
Read moreThe birthday packages and their rules! I had paid inadvanced for all the adults and children but they would not refund me for the adults that didn't come and charged me 18$ per teenager that was just sitting down on their phone and not playing when I had already paid them like an adult. so I had to pay twice for them. then they wouldn't accommodate my grandparents who one was legally blind and one with a cane. they made them take off their shoes. which is difficult just for them to be sitting thw whole time. and all my uncles and aunts who are older as well. some of my guess left cause of the stupid shoe policy they have. then they wouldn't let my guest sit in the party room till 2 hrs later which was ridiculous cause no one was using it. then when I went to go decorate it my family helped me and the party host kept coming in saying they had to get out and couldn't help me. and then I was told to use tape instead of tacks to hang up the decorations ao I did then again the party host came in and said we couldn't use it and if one lil piece of paint came off they'll charge me 50 more. the whole time the party host just kept complaining to us don't do that don't do this. it was ridiculous. and I end up paying 500 for what? 2 lil tiny pizzas and 2 sodas. I still had to go costco and buy more pizza and drinks for my guest. it's ridiculous they only pay for pizza for the 10 free kids in the package. but if those kids are teenagers not going to pay they use up your 10 free kids slot and then when more kids show up you'll end up paying 18 each kids it's ridiculous. I'll never go there again. the whole shoe rule is ridiculous but yet all the employees wearing shoes...
