On January 1, 2025, my wife and I, along with visiting family and friends, took the one-day Knife Making / Blacksmith Class at Wrought Iron Arts in Largo, FL, and it was truly an experience worth every hammer swing. Our instructor, Rob Buck, is a master of metal and an absolute blast to learn from. His patience, enthusiasm, and knack for teaching made everyone—from the novices to the “Forged in Fire” fans—feel right at home.

From heating our metal to hammering it out on the anvil, Rob guided us through each step with humor and expertise, all while weaving in stories about the centuries-old craft.
