Bayhead Action Park — Attraction in Largo

My son is 8 years old and loves to skateboard and ride his freestyle bike to learn new tricks. We go to Fossil a lot but we like it here because it's close to our house. It has a bowl, and has an ongoing course using the ramps unlike fossil, where you go on one or two that connect but others are separate and don't flow like a track. We love fossil too, just both offer different things which is nice! One thing is people seem to litter a lot here. Last time we were there I picked up and threw away over 40 plastic water and gatorade bottles and soda cans. It's sad because it's such a great facility. Help keep your neighborhood clean. It's hot as H-E-double hockey sticks out so I'm glad to see everyone is staying hydrated. But walk the extra 3 or 5 steps to discard your trash before you leave. Bayhead was okay until the city painted the street section over for the graffiti. Now i understand that graffiti maybe unpleasant for some viewers but painting the coping (rail going across on top of the ramps) and ground makes it extremely unsafe for anyone to use when it gets barely rained or when its bright out you can't see bc its white paint and reflects the sunlight. There is a steep quater in the back of the street section that you now cant even tell has coping on it which is an injury involving someone less experienced waiting to happen. Its sad bc alot of people grew up skating that park before others were built, if they keep repainting it could be too slick for anyone for good and unusable. Just cover the spots, dont go overboard. Used to be cool, now it's can be, at moments ? It can be terribly filled with very toxic people. I don't recommend letting your kids come here unsupervised. The volleyball court is good, but the basketball court and the skate park side? Keep an eye out. They like to be shady on that side. I'm not talking about anyone playing basketball either, or even the skaters.
