Larkspur Landing Cinema — Attraction in Larkspur

This is a tough one as it's a really nice redo of the Century Cinema previously but there were a couple of things that made it more a 3 than a 4. First, the AC wasn't working very well and it was one of our hotter days here (Aug 5) and made the theater a little uncomfortable. Second, instead of extensive movie previews (which are annoying) they had some interviewer talking to actors. This took up almost 20 mins from the 3 pm start time and it was more annoying than movie previews. Finally, when the movie started, they left the lights on for several minutes until someone told them and they did turn it off. Overall, the new super comfortable seating, big screen/upgraded audio, having beer and wine, gets it current to Cinemark and Century theaters and so it doesn't really offer a whole lot more (except the beer/wine). However, the real plus is that the matinee prices here are MUCH cheaper than Cinemark or Century and that alone makes it worthy. I was thinking about 3 starts for some of this minor issues but am sure they will get resolved soon and thus kept it at 4 because 3 would have...

OK, I’m that guy holding up the line trying to get the cashier to figure out my cinema app my point how to order the movie seat that I’m trying to get into and yes on a Sunday with a whole line of people waiting to pay for their popcorn :-) I would like to apologize to all of them as they were just trying to appreciate the incredible theater experience of this location wonderful seats, nice table in front of you you can put your legs up sound systems are great. So much better now that this theater is under Cinema West management (same folks who operate the Fairfax Theater).

Seats are comfortable, prices (especially for matinee tickets) are very reasonable. Even pre-movie is better than your average AMC/Cinemark/Regal.
