My daughter, granddaughter and myself used to frequent Color me mine a lot a couple of years ago. With school being out, we celebrated by taking my 8 and a half yr old granddaughter for some fun! We knew the fee to paint was $12 for both adults and children, which was fair. However, here's where we made the choice to NOT come back!!! Every piece was WAY WAY WAY OVER PRICED! I wasn't the only person saying this. The cheapest item was $20.00!! I painted a small jar that was $28.00. Needless to say the 3 of us painted our piece for 2 hrs and it was $165.00+ tax and tip!!! Seriously, close to $200.00 for 2 hrs of "fun" if my granddaughter wasn't looking so forward to painting, I would have gladly walked out. It would've made more sense to have $8:00-$10.00 pcs for young children. I don't think I've ever been this disappointed with an activity for my granddaughter, EVER!!! I get things have gone up but NO WAY WILL WE COME BACK. Sadly, I posted on YouTube channel as well (I have 215k subs) people need to know this and thats what my channel is based on, activities to do with your grandchildren (arts and crafts, places in Vegas to go and places to eat) Just very disappointed...
Read moreI love art classes. This place was a good experience. It's better if you make reservations before attending. I attended with some friends, there was 6 of us total. You pay an automatic $10 for attending the class, then you pick a piece to paint, and then you come back on a different date to pick it up. They blast the artwork in flames to give it a beautiful shine. If you have a group with 8 people or more, there is automatically a 15% gratuity added to your bill. The classes are 2 hours long. Also, when you make the reservation online you pay a $10 deposit, that is later applied to your artwork (the person who made the reservation). You have to paint your piece multiple times for it to withstand the heat. They have a range of pieces that you can paint. The larger the piece, the more it cost. Mine was $16. Below is my before and...
Read moreFeeling at a loss for words. We walked into Color Me Mine on this fine Sunday- 6 kids wanted to paint. We walked in behind a party of three that was kindly asked, “step to the side and I’ll see what I can do” so (Taylor) can see what we needed. She sent all of us away. The party of 3. And us. Mind you there were 2 people sitting- painting at a table of 6. A “large” party all the way in the back. Maybe 5 people. With small businesses struggling I would have expected more from our local pottery shop. We called The Pottery Shop and they accommodated us with no questions asked. It was 2 pm we and they were open til 5 we told her we can wait or come back and she just couldn’t make that work.
I think this review is important for the small business owner to know to maybe hire some people a little more invested in helping the business...
