Read moreDecent little spot. I went there for the first time on 7-3-21. I ordered the Chili Cheese Dog and the Macaroni & Cheese Dog. I want to start off and say the hot dogs themselves and the buns are excellent. I ate the chili cheese dog first. Upon first glance I noticed a lack of cheese used. All the previous chili cheese dogs (coneys) have a decent amount of cheese atop the chili. This had sparingly cheese, more green onions than cheese and there’s too much chili on the dog as well. You can see below the excess amount of chili I had to knock off just to make it edible. The chili itself is sweet, that’s not a good combination with a chili dog. The chili was also very thick were traditional chili dogs use more like a chili sauce. Overall grade I give it is a F. It failed and needs drastic improvement. First glance upon the Mac-n-cheese dog was, “where the hell is the Mac-n-cheese??” What was over compensated for in chili in the chili dog was left off this one. And the noticeable thing here is that you can order a regular hot dog and build your own. See the picture below and asks yourself is that what $3 worth of Mac-n-cheese is worth? You will know it’s not. Now this dog tasted amazingly. The flavor was good, there just wasn’t that much on the hot dog. I give this one a B+, can be an A if they put more Mac-n-cheese on it. The staff was very nice and friendly, it honestly took a little longer than I was expecting but there was a table in front of me that was awaiting food. I also purchased a drink and went to dispense it and the selected orange crush wasn’t functioning. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Will go back and try...
Read moreI had heard a lot of great things about this place so I was excited to try. Someone, I think the owner greeted me immediately and was helpful with my questions. Although the menu was primarily hot dogs made everyway you can imagine I am not a hotdog fan. Fortunately they had many other menu items that were not hotdogs. My friend recommended the Korean chicken sandwich. We both got the sandwich and fries. With tax it was over $45 for lunch....that bite was hard to swallow. I must say I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich, it appeared to be hand breaded, it was just not dry and tasty even without all the toppings they put on it. They added some yummy Korean toppings and sauces and it was scrumptious not to mention messy. The fries, although good, were nothing to write home about and over priced. This was an eclectic eatery with some inventive menu items combining American food with a Korean flair. I heard that the best item there was the Korean soup. I will definitely go back and try a few more menu items. The owner and staff were welcoming and the food was good. Definitely worth a try. As most of my blogs these days complain about price and value or quantity and quality for the money, this place was a little different. It was expensive but at least I wasn't getting run of the mill bland food for that high price. I got a chef inspired dish for that high price. Maybe the owner could offset the high price by providing slightly smaller...
