I went to this restaurant yesterday and the food was awful and had a lot of fat and was unacceptable which I explained to the manager. She started making excuses about how the food was not the issue. I had to wait for them to remake the food which was ok at that point. Then she apologized for the issue with the food and stated the cook did not portion the food correctly. At this point all was fine but then I requested the bill and noticed that the server charged for ranch dressing without advising me for the ranch dressing which comes with the fries. I explained this to the same manager, Tanya. Again the manager Tanya’s knee jerk reaction was to make excuses & assure me that it was incumbent on me to know there’s an up charge not the transparency on their end to inform the customer. Then the server, Luzi took away my 3/4 full dressings for no reason while I was talking to Tanya without asking me or my husband. When I Beverly Mickey told her that she really could’ve asked before taking those away to please replace my dressings, her attitude well, it wasn’t on her to ask my permission to remove my items. Her attitude was that it was incumbent upon me to pay attention to avoid my stuff being removed. She told me verbatim when I said if it was you, you wouldn’t want your stuff removed without somebody asking you first since it’s your stuff not theirs. She said well, I would’ve been paying attention, thereby suggesting I’m the one at fault for her removing my items without asking not her violating her obligation to remove customers’ items without their permission. So this is clearly a culture of rudeness and unaccountability towards the customers who pay their salaries. I figured at this point that I needed to go higher and asked for a different manager. They stated that there was a manager named James so I told Tanya that I would call back but to not influence him with her side painting mr as the issue and me as the villain so he would have an open mind. Just as I suspected James cane on the line with a clear very rude sarcastic attitude when he picked up the phone in his tone in the exaggerated inflection in his tone in the way he picked up the phone. He was rude, abrasive, insulting and very disrespectful when I honestly stated to him that I had a problem the night before and the two ppl I dealt with Luzi was very rude and Tanya was somewhat dismissive. This James was the topper, he started yelling on the phone and saying he didn’t want to talk to me because I called him out on his sarcastic tone picking up my call & stating that I hope they haven’t already swayed him in their account and that I wanted him to listen to my side with an open mind. This so-called manager JAMES is rude, insulting, has an awful temper was yelling and screaming and said I don’t want to talk to you if that’s how you’re going to start by telling me I sound sarcastic & am listening to other sides then he rudely hung up on me saying he didn’t want to talk to me. Apparently if I’m not kissing his bum I’m not worth talking to or listening to bcz he’s not there to help me and listen to my concerns. It’s the other way according to James, I’m there to be subservient to him and bow doesn’t to the master JAMES. What a joke this management and staff like Luzi are. So rude and offensive when patrons’s money has to go to paying salaries of totally rude, disrespectful ppl like this completely lacking in customer service and human interaction skills. This person JAMES’ attitude is not the job of a manager to yell, scream and be insulting, disrespectful and HANGING UP THE PHONE ON paying customers looking for a resolution. Otherwise I would not be posting this 1 star review as I tried to give them a chance to listen to my concerns and wanted him to know right off the bat that I wanted him to be open-minded & not swayed by his colleagues biases which is normal concern as they are his colleagues and I’m just a stranger. Rather than listen to my concern and address that he made it about him and his...
Read moreHey if you guys want to keep the bartender who worked October 12, 2023 and keep losing clients then be my guest. This guy has kicked out 2 friends of mine. One friend he kicked out twice. I've also watched him kick out another person on a separate occasions (unsure of the reason I was across the bar.
This dude has serious anger issues and is not professional at all. The first time my friend got kicked was because my friend was talking about metal music which usually references satanism. The old hag besides him didn't like it and they told him to stop? This is a free country, as long as no one's being vulgar or swearing I will talk about what ever the F I want, thanks. The bartender 86d him. Then I bring back that same friend 6 months later and smoothed things over. Low and behold same bartender clocks in. My friend was the bigger man and apologized even though he shouldn't have to. Later on the same bartender kicked him out for being "too loud". Like what?
Then I bring another friend today and he yells at my friend for being too loud twice even though there was only one other person in the bar. Then my friend accidentally spilled him beer on the table and he tells him to get out. We each had 1 beer and weren't drunk or anything. I had to bite my tongue because I genuinely like this place. I still tipped the scum bag over 20% and left. If this was any other random bar I wouldn't have even paid for my meal. I would have just walked out.
This dudes behavior is ridiculous.. he's been there for a while. Idk how he hasn't been fired yet. I don't really leave reviews but this one's warranted. I have been actively going to Chicago Brewing on Ft Apache and 4 queens for over a decade. I put people on to this place because the food and beer is amazing. But this dude is trash and I will not go back until he's gone. I put enough $100 bills in your machines in one night to pay that dudes wages for a month. My worth as a client out values him as a worker. I always bring friends and tell people about this...
Read moreFood is always good there. Service, though, is a hit or miss. I've had a server multiple times (i didn't get her name) and she is absolutely fantastic. However, I went in yesterday with my mom just to get a refill of root beer, and the server Vinny was rude! He didn't acknowledge me for a good bit even though i was right next to him. I'm 25 but look under age I get ID'd a lot I never get mad but I am disabled and was having issues getting my ID out of my wallet and I seen that he was getting impatient so I showed it to him inside my wallet and he demanded I take it out which I eventually got it out. He asked me what I was there for, and I asked for a refill of my growler and a new growler of the same, and he was rude about it the entire time. My mom had walked away from me before I walked up to the service computer and when he walked away to take my growler to get it filled my mom walked up next to me and his mood had completely changed when he walked up and seen that I wasn't alone. He was way nicer after my mom was visible, like he shouldn't have been that nice to begin with. I'm a grown woman, and I don't care how young I look, I deserve to be treated with respect and not with condescension like I received. I come from a family of tip earners. I get that it's hard, and I almost always leave a tip, but he didn't receive...
