Mixed experience - some great some less than great but overall good. I will use Brownleeâs again. First the great - selection and price. Found a table I loved at what seemed a good price and later as I was looking for chairs with another retailer I shared a picture of the table and price paid - the other shop owner confirmed that I got âa dealâ. Second positive- the follow up by the administrative team on my expected delivery. And lastly, the delivery team was excellent! The two gentlemen were careful of my home and my purchase and made helpful suggestions (felt for the feet) and even took the time to say goodbye and pet my dog who was on a leash across the room. They were friendly and efficient. The less than excellent - my salesman. My purchase was made on a quiet weekday. I saw only two other customers in the store and multiple sales associates. Even after I made it clear that I was intending to purchase the table he kept leaving us alone. I was seeking chairs at that point. He did bring 2 chairs down from upstairs at my request but then disappeared again immediately after. He did come back periodically but seemed unwilling to obtain answers to my questions. My two eldest sons are 6â4 and over 250 lbs. I asked for the weight capacity of the chair I was considering. He gave me the tear sheet and told me that info was not available and walked away again. He was correct - it was not on the tear sheet but a phone call to the manufacturer would have answered the question - and given my need for 8-10 chairs might have gotten Brownlees another $2-$3k in sales revenue. He also failed to offer any chairs that might be available to order that would work with my table and requirements. After several minutes he had not returned so I took the price tag to the desk where we found him simply sitting - not on the computer, not with another customer. A great salesman is attentive and helpful, offers to answer questions and if there are none, offers to give the customer a moment of privacy to consider/discuss the potential purchase, walks away for a few minutes and then returns to close the sale or answer additional questions. What I experienced was a salesman that seemed to have some other priority which was not my purchase. I could speculate that being at the desk helps him secure the next customer and I was already a âdone dealâ but even if that is the case - I wouldnât think Brownleeâs would not want to risk the satisfaction of one customer for a potential next customer. I have made other large purchases from Brownleeâs and my recent experience was not consistent with the time and attention that I received on prior trips - when I left a very happy customer. I hope this visit is not indicative in a change in service level...
Read moreWe have had an excellent experience with Brownlee over the past year. We built a new house in Gainesville, GA and had to purchase furniture and accessories to fill our 5 bedroom home. We had excellent service and support from the whole team at Brownlee and I want to point out a few people who went above and beyond. Linda Smith was our sales representative and she was always available by phone or in person when we went to the warehouse to see some items and sit on sofas, etc. She helped us with selections, samples, colors, ideas, etc. She worked diligently with our Designer. Karen and the finance team were also very helpful with the many transactions we purchased. Karen and Linda were both very excited for us when we finally were able to move into the house. Jamie was also very supportive and helpful throughout the whole year and especially as we had to change our delivery date because the house wasnât quite ready. He made sure we got the support and trucks we needed for our final move date. He insured that our furniture was wrapped, unwrapped, checked and rewrapped. The guys who brought the trucks were amazing as well. Chris and Robbie came the first day. Chris returned with Johnny the second day. All 3 men were extremely careful with our floors, walls, doors, etc. There was not even a scratch anywhere when they were done and they moved a LOT of items down the stairs and around corners. They assembled 2 sets of bunk beds and 5 other beds over the 2 days. I told them how much we appreciated their caring and Chris said that we treat your house as if it is ours and we want to get it all done how we would want it done.
Thanks again for everyoneâs hard work and professionalism. This is not automatic in todayâs world and it was very much appreciated! We have already recommended Brownlee to a number of friends and hopefully you will get some additional business from them. We will definitely come back when we need anything.

Read moreWaking up with that burning, tingling pain in the lower back is one of the most crippling feelings. Most of you with a family and/or a professional career will know what I'm talking about. Beds can either alleviate or exacerbate this pain. Here's where Brownlees comes in. A local store with supposedly quality items - both these superlatives being something I highly value - I decided to purchase a new bed from there. The ladies and gents on the sales floor were super friendly and helpful and we went with a full size Serta mattress and box for close to $800. Sleeping on the mattress One week, two weeks, three weeks...the back pain continues to increasingly get worse. Several pain-filled moths later, I call the customer service for Brownlees. The issue with the bed gets unsurprisingly deflected to the manufacturer - which is admittedly logical. But why would they sell low quality beds for $800? Then the kicker comes, I get told by the gentleman that a bed is like a shoe, it fits people differently and is personal preference. What?!!! No way! Choosing a between a bed that doesn't hurt your back and one that does is not personal preference, it's the baseline expectation for a damn mattress. That's like me buying a pair of Jordan's and getting a Kroger bag to put on my feet then getting told it's personal preference. Anyway, months later I finally found another local spot that makes latex beds and since I've bought it, I've had zero back pain. In any case, I do not wish that the takeaway from this review is people not going to Brownless. Like I said there seem to be a lot of local, hard working people that are employed there that provide exceptional customer service. The management just had to be aware that they are selling inferior quality beds for premium prices. They certainly aren't the only ones - it took us several months and several beds to find a decent place for mattresses - but there definitely seems to be a trend towards...
