Does anyone remember the story of Hastings? Similar enough store, similar business model. Buy, Sell, and Trade. Slowly after they started to stop buying back from customers they went out of business claiming excessive inventory and declining sales. I recently walked into this establishment with a couple decades worth of gaming consoles and a handful of games that had been collected over the course of a marriage and was looking to be sold off for a divorce. After the establishment accused me of stealing the property simply by asking, "Is this all yours?". Rather than explaining the situation, again, to the old white man clearly lacking a warning label, I told him to return my property to me and I would not doing any business with them. He left his female coworker to apologize for his behavior. Before I left I made a quick glance at inventory and I understand why they only wanted certain items. To be accused of being a thief though after explaining the situation is asinine. So, Dear establishment, if you truly believe I have stolen the property then go ahead and use the information in this review to contact Lawton PD. I will go ahead and inform you though detective Powers didn't want the technology to begin with which is why I was allowed to try and sell it. The property in question will be going to Dallas tomorrow to be sold at a business that is capable of making a transaction without being a complete jack-wad to the public. Personally I do hope your lack of sales shuts your business down if that is how you talk to the public; you are better of shutting your doors if you can't shut your...

I literally just met someone who bought a deck from Game King that snapped in 3 months. Absolutely ridiculous.
To clarify, a waterlogged deck is a deck that got wet via rain, puddles, or more. They lose their pop and feel soggy. Bad trucks are trucks that turn too much and cannot really be tightened to fit a skaters needs. Griptape, as you may know, goes on the top of the board. You sold someone a neon green sheet of grip and sent them on their way. They asked me to apply it, and when I did, the adhesive would not stick to the board, so I had to go and get them an actual sheet of real griptape. The longboard that snapped didn't look waterlogged. It was just a no-name brand that I had never heard of.
If you need skate stuff, look elsewhere. Save your time, money, and...
Read moreI walked in and asked if they had anything Mass Effect related other than the games. They come out with a stack of content that had just recently been traded in by someone else. Made my day. They gave me time and space to go through the stack and pick out what I was interested in, then gave me a fair price on what I chose. That not only really made my day, but every day since has been a little better when I look at all the gear I was able to snag. I've been shopping here since 2010 and they've always done right by me. There is no other store, gaming or otherwise, that comes close to the vibe this place gives out. It's the authentic home grown game store that the corporate places have always tried to buy up and shut down, but this place has been a constant in Lawton for decades. In a town where there is very little to do, especially for nerds, this is the place you want to shop at. New games, old games, merch, honest business practices, they...
