I would like to bring to your attention a concerning experience I had at the cosmetic store in the Leesburg, VA outlet on Tuesday, August 13th, at 1:03 PM. Upon my arrival, I intended to purchase an eyeshadow. There were no signs on the shelf indicating that we should not touch or grab cosmetics, similar to the practice at Sephora, where customers can freely handle displayed products and purchase them.
However, a saleswoman with black hair exhibited a rude attitude. She unprofessionally admonished me not to touch the display. I apologized and carefully placed the eyeshadow back on the shelf, making sure not to touch anything else. I am almost 45 years old and certainly not a child who would destroy a display!
Despite my caution, she approached me again in a very harsh manner and rudely said, "Step aside, step aside, you're going to break the display!" I was shocked by her tone. I assured her that I hadn’t touched anything, but she continued to speak to me disrespectfully. As I was leaving the store feeling upset, she mockingly said, "Have a good day!"
A few minutes later, I returned to ask for her name so I could file a complaint, as I had never encountered such behavior as a customer in the United States. I asked for her name while I was at the door, and she came up to me from behind the counter. She refused to provide it and loudly and rudely claimed that she was trying to protect me. I am 45 years old and was merely looking, not touching anything, yet she insisted that she wanted to protect me.
This claim felt insincere, especially since she had previously warned me that I would "break the display." It seemed she didn't want to bother fixing anything later. Her behavior was unacceptable, and she could have handled the situation in a more polite manner.
Furthermore, another employee, a man with black hair, stated that he could not disclose her name either. When I mentioned my intention to report this situation to a manager, he simply replied that he did not care.
This encounter was quite disappointing and reflects poorly on customer service at this location. I strongly encourage you to review the security camera footage to assess her tone, behavior, and aggressive manner during this...
Read moreThis rating is for the customer service of the store manager Silvia Tobar. I would give her a negative star rating if I could. Products are usually in good shape and the prices are good, but I've seen some cosmetic items here with batch codes in 2008. The other two sales are OK and helpful. I've visited this store 4 times, regardless of the 30+mile drive, and each visit the store manager was there, it has been unpleasant. Little did I know that there is a policy of only 3 of the same items per customer per day, I went there 3 times in order to buy 9 of these Clinique foundations. The manager, Silvia Tobar is very unfriendly – she warned me when I shop there for the third time, she said I cannot buy the same items but can only buy different items, a week later, I went there for the 4th time to buy a Clinqiue eye cream, she literally refused to sell to me without any explanation. She was very rude; she told me that I can not buy anything from this store because it’s the “store policy”. When I asked her to show me the policy, she just pointed to a piece of paper on the wall and did not answer me. I read the policy and do not see any violation. She ignored my questions and went to make a phone call, I waited about 15 minutes for her explanation and when she finished the phone call, she just insisted that she won’t sell a thing to me. She has no respects to customer at all. Be very careful with this person, if you go there multiples times, you might be regarded as a "reseller" and treated like you are a "thief"!! The worst shopping experience...
Read moreThe manager and employees of this store are very rude, except Elisa, new employee. Customer service is horrible. They don’t respect customer at all. If you ask questions several times, they stare at you. I expect to give them”0” instead of 1. They should even get “1” rate from me. I wonder why they act like that because the store has the great deal??? they think they have the right to behave to customer like that. It ennoys me a lot! What do the cashiers there do? Playing around or just walking around the store for exercises?
I bought the TWO TF Eyeshadow and they are not cheap! 5 minutes later, I came back to exchange because there is something wrong with it. There 3 three cashiers were around me and stared at me. the oldest ladie, I don’t know what her name, that the only thing I can described her, said” this is the last one and there nothing we can do”. I am not able to attach the pix.
Make sure all customers: if the Tom Ford eyeshadow has two layers, make sure open the bottom too.
They should be trained again as BEGINING level how be a cashier. I just wish they are regular cahiers and don’t expect them to be good cashier. I wish I come there next time, at least they would have better customer service skills! My wish never comes true!
I don’t expect to have high customer service or even good customer sevice! I just want them to provide Ok customer service. If I’m not wrong: I wonder how the lady ( 4 stars comment) knows they get paid low? I wonder if they get paid low, they can be nasty?
Thank you for reading...
