There are no signs and no one tells you. This is not a public library, it is a privately owned library for the citizens of Leon valley. That being said if you are a San Antoni'on there is a charge fee of $25.00 for a library card and it has to be renewed every year, same price. I had actually been passing by this library for at least 5 years and always wanted to look inside. Cuz the outside looks amazing, come to find out I go in there and it's the blandest library I've ever seen. All the furniture was very bland, the only place that had color was the children's section. But even then they distract you with lots of books there's no real design on the wall that gives artistic flavor cuz you know it's the kid side cuz of all the books but if u look at the walls, everything is barely put together like bruh you would expect like kids drawings on the walls or something but No that would have at least been cute 🥺💔 ,ta look at. You can tell they put all the effort in the toddler room💔 and u can't go see unless u have a toddler😓. I left without a book and a broken heart 💔 ( wanted to start reading The Fellowship of the Ring by...
Read moreTerrible experience on two separate occasions. First was the toddler story time- the lady in there was so rude to the children and parents. She was talking down to us like we were all stupid. Then she is passing out little things for the children to put up but insisted the parents do it because the kids would ruin the little sticky thing. Um hello, this is a children’s program they are KIDS. Maybe instead of being so nit picky about who’s handling the stuff make everything CHILD friendly. Overall, she was just cold and didn’t make the program fun at all. The kids were all quiet and serious the whole time because if they made any noise out of the ordinary she gave us a look. We left early so I don’t know how it ended.
Secondly, they do not let you print or use te computers if you do not live near there. They told us we needed to go to OUR library (Cody) to do. It’s upsetting because this one is much closer to where I live... oh well. Hopefully the service is better for others but it...
Read moreI live very close to the library and am out and about enough that I use their computers to pay some bills and order something if the mood strikes. The computers are on the Leon Valley city security system and have never had a problem to my knowledge. I've ordered books through the U.S. interlibraryl loan system. No problems. The calendar of events for activities is fun and for all ages. No parking problems. The internet bubble covers at least the first row of parking and the password is posted on the door. Great to know on a cold winter's night and some work needs to be posted by a certain deadline. Another one of Leon Valley's...
