As a local to the area, what initially drew me to Flower in Flour is its cozy and relaxing atmosphere and the earthy and understated elegance of the decor! But what's keeping me as a patron is the delicious iced coffee and how amazing and gracious the management and staff are! My family and I needed a space to hold my graduation party and so we called to see if renting their venue was a possibility. The owners, Lori and Tonya, were not only accommodating but excited to have us! Using it as a private venue is something they have been wanting to provide! They are still fairly new. There are different tiers for event use that are super flexible and affordable. My family opted for Tier 1 which includes access to the area and on demand ordering. The party was three hours and the coffee bar remained open so that my guests could enjoy coffee and anything off the menu. Robert and Meagan are amazing at manning the counter! They are so friendly and helpful! Our caterer set up in the back area which was accessible to my guests since the food was self-serve. My guests sat and enjoyed dinner in the main area and the dj set up in a corner and played music. They also allowed our family member to bring in his service dog which was awesome! My family, friends, and I had a great night and made some of the best memories! Thank you so much for making my party a beautiful and unforgettable experience! I would definitely recommend anyone that needs either coffee or a space for a private event to consider...

If there was a theme, I didnât catch it. It was lovely, but some might call it âbusy.â I asked the barista for a pour over, she said they cannot do it because the âpour over thingâ is broken. Pour overs have been a go to for broke people for centuries as this was the only option for not being able to afford a coffee maker. A $15 pour over cost less than a $10k espresso machine. Literally anything funnel shaped, love, and, motivation can create a perfect pour over coffee. The most successful coffee shops in the country and in San Antonio ONLY use the pour over technique since itâs the best extraction due to water and temperature control, and of course freshness. I asked the cashier/barista when she brewed the pot she is serving me from, she said an hour. The House blend getting served to me has a bitterness thatâs not âboldâ, itâs time on the counter longer than an hour. With pour overs, you donât waste coffee and it never goes bad in a dispenser. This is a cute coffee shop and I want it to do well- I think the sign needs to be updated and pour overs need to be...
