Lewiston Farmers' Market — Attraction in Lewiston

Our family just loves the Lewiston Farmer’s Market. We moved to Lewiston 2.5 years ago and have been frequenting this market ever since. We find they feature many of the same vendors as the Portland one, but without the crowds or hassle. Everyone there is always happy, welcoming and helpful. My Daughter loves that there is always a fun children’s activity station too. We all love the Blais Family Farms’ maple syrup and Patch Farms’ locally raised organic meats, eggs and veggies; but really all the vendors are wonderful, and we try to buy from each. They always have a wonderful variety of fruits and veggies, even in the winter, and plenty of parking too. A special shout out to the organizers (Especially Josh). Their passion for, and dedication to our community is always inspiring. We also love that they coordinate with vendors and artists to allow us to pay by cc/debit card once we have finished shopping, because let’s face it, when does a married couple with kids ever have cash anyway. I was very disappointed. I thought I was buying FRESH picked veggies, but when I went to wash my green beans I found more than 1 black rotted 1s. Many and old beans.. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I Purchased them from the farm on little field road in lisbon. Someone needs to explained we buy fresh veggies, NOT ROTTEN ONES. I WONT BUY FROM THAT FARM AGAIN, AN I HAVE NITHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT...

I love our local farmer's market! Great variety of local and organic produce, prices are reasonable, staff and vendors are all really nice and helpful. I previously thought it was a summer only market, but I recently learned that they also hold a winter farmers market at the YWCA, which I am so happy about!
