UPDATE June 2023
Since my previous review, I have gone back to Ollie's a couple of times. The quality and quantity of merchandise has really improved, so I feel my review should be updated.
If you have dogs, go to Ollie's for toys. I found the exact same toy at Ollie's that cost about 75% less than the one I bought on Amazon.
Some other items I have purchased at Ollie's that were of exceptional quality and significantly less expensive than in retail stores:
BATH TOWELS Twice I have bought full sets of super thick, extra long, name-brand, luxury towels/washcloths/hand towels in beautiful colors for waaay less than retail.
BOOKS- Believe it or not, Ollie's seems to always have a huge inventory of books. The stock has a variety of kids books, activity books, DIY, cooking, YA and adult fiction, non-fiction, self-help, crafting, history, graphic novels, etc. for cheap prices!!
RUGS- You cannot get outdoor rugs cheaper. The selection of indoor rugs is massive
SMALL APPLIANCES/COOKWARE- I bought a multi quart, name-brand crock pot for around $50-something dollars that Bed B. & B. was selling for over $100.
MEN'S COVERALLS/WORK WEAR- I was surprised to see a good supply of name-brand, men's coveralls and other work wear. It would be nice to see some coats and coveralls in women's and kids sizes in the future; not all females are shrinking violets.
Ollie's also has great prices on tarps, bungee cords, lower- end fishing and outdoor/patio/pool supplies.
I hope this helps your decision to check out Ollie's or go elsewhere. The bargains are definitely 4â. I just wish the place looked nicer and had more employees.

This place is not as great as I thought it would be. There are some good discounts, but a lot of the stuff they have is for a reason: No one wanted to buy the first time. If the store was clean and well organized, the experience would have...
Read moreThought I would drop in to check out Ollie's Bargain Outlet since I had not been there before and I expected it to be another disheveled, unorganized heap of random half-opened, crushed boxes of things. Rather than find a bunch of garage sale-type broken cast-offs, I was delightfully surprised to find some really great things!
Upon entering the front doors, there was a smell of new carpeting and the store was extremely clean and organized. My first great find was their section of new, discounted books of all types of reading genres! There were multiple aisles of children's books (preschool all the way up to teen) at amazing discounts. For example, I found a super book by a very famous children's author for 70% off and to make it even better, I discovered that the book was a new, signed copy! Score!
There are so many different categories of name-brand items: garden supplies, lawn care, tools and hardware, paint, health and beauty aids, patio furniture, dishes and kitchenware, blankets and towels, home décor, toys and puzzles, shoes, clothing items, rugs, and so much more! Items were new in original packaging in perfect condition but at rock-bottom prices. There's something for everyone here.
You can sign up at the register for the store loyalty program and when you provide your email address and download the app, you will receive a 15% off coupon that is good on your next visit.
I look forward to coming back during the holiday season, as well! Friendly employees and great merchandise; who likes to...

Picked up a second job this week. Was really excited about it. Ollie's in Carrollton. It was going to help me get more physical steps in everyday. I'm experienced and like doing merchandising and fixture trucks anyways. Bonus for discount on stuff I like. Did the interview and orientation. Nice people. Showed up day one: everybody from the AM shit is drenched in sweat because the AC is not working well in the building. It's 1pm. It is only gonna get worse. But hey let's have a big group cheer LOUDER for morale!!!
Funny: the AC was working fine yesterday during orientation, but the day of my interview it was hot AF in there.
Then one of the old timers tells me: no they've just turned it off until Grand Opening. Seriously? Okay, Well then I guess I just need to hydrate more. Where can I get some water? Crickets. Nada.
Awww hell no. That's wrong. Clocked out. Bye. HEADING BACK UP THERE WITH A FULL COOLER OF COLD BOTTLED WATER FOR THEIR STAFF BECAUSE AT 5PM it's gonna be unbearable like it was in my interview.
Do better, Ollie's. You have everybody worried about safety violations and you're not even paying attention to the fact that you may be responsible for heat related injuries to your new staff....
