This place is a joke and so is the manager! After seeing many ads on Facebook my husband and I decided to purchase tickets for their glow tubing. I had read a few bad reviews but the website and their ads looked so great that we decided to give it a chance. I was so wrong!! We drove over an hour to get there only to find it was not snow tubing at all even though their pictures all show snow. It does say synthetic on the website which we had figured was some sort of artificial snow. Like how other places use snow machines etc, this place is just a sliding board with old tubes that you sit in which aren’t even safe as they’re all falling apart!! When we arrived my 2 children with ASD2 started to panic as they have a hard time when things are different that what is expected or have been told. I spoke to the manager before even entering to explain the situation and was told there are no refunds only rescheduling. Being we live so far away that wasn’t an option for us. We finally got everyone calmed down and decided to try it. They also advertised a light maze and jelly ball games. The line was so long for the “tubing” that you could only go down their slide a few times. We stood for 35+ minutes just to go on it once. The light maze was quite literally a square made of plastic pallets with some tangled Christmas lights. The jelly ball was even worse. The guns wouldn’t work at all. We decided to call it a night. I spoke with the manager once again to express how I felt about the false advertising and was so surprised at how incredibly rude he was again. I was told the web is exactly what is here. I said what about the snow in the pictures? I was told those pictures were taken in winter and what do I want him to say? I mentioned about the jelly ball guns and again was told we should have shook them to make them work. We no one had informed us of that when we entered the game so how would we know 🤷🏼♀️. After a few more rude and snarky comments I stated that I was not going to argue the facts with him to which I was told, good and he’s standing by his decision. I did make it known that I would be leaving reviews of my experience and was told “yeah you do that”. So in conclusion, don’t waste your time and money on a pathetic excuse of a “fun park” and also be insulted.
Edited to add upon leaving this review in a comment on their page as well as in a post on my page on Facebook with them tagged, they decided to remove my comment and block me! Professionalism...
Read moreI’m long overdue to review this place since I’ve gotten my son the season pass here the last 3 summers since we moved back to Ohio. I initially cringed at the price, but it’s spot on for all the other little amusement parks like this one. We took the long ride to Fun N Stuff this summer, which cost more and had less to do.
I was super disappointed they removed 2 of the water features this summer, but the owner said something better is replacing them next summer, so a fair trade off. The one slide stresses me out a little because sand/Velcro may scratch you, but nothing major.
Seeing all the 1-2 star reviews are unfair/wrong. This park is geared toward younger children, which if you check the website first or postings at the Clubhouse desk, you’ll be aware of. They do their Halloween attractions for the adults/teens. Though I’ve seen plenty of pre/teens having fun for hours.
I like majority of the staff here, they’re all friendly and good with the kids with 1 exception, there’s only 1 girl I’ve had be rude to me here and I only saw her working a couple of times so my guess is she’s gone. A lot of them are familiar faces from previous years as well. Yes some of them are clearly working harder than others, but they’re teenagers. Also, they’re not understaffed, the employees are on a rotation. Every once in a while we may wait 3-5 mins for a ride, but that’s only when they’re busy. A place like this can’t be expected to have 20+ employees on to have someone at each station 24/7, that would mean a lot of loss and prices going up.
We go frequently and every time we go the owner is there inspecting/working on rides keeping them up and functioning properly; safety is never a concern for me with the rides.
If you live in the area and don’t like the day pass price, their season passes are always a fantastic deal, pay for themself after 2-3 visits and we typically go 1+ times a week.
If this place wasn’t there, we would spend so much more money/time trying to find fun outdoor activities to occupy the summer. The owner seems to constantly be adding new things/updating preexisting. And for all the reviews saying issues go unaddressed/get rude responses, I have never experienced this. The few times I’ve had an issue, it’s dealt with appropriately.
I definitely recommend, especially for those with...
Read moreToday we spent the day at funtimes fun park. 15 is the age of our child. We all had a really good time. This was our first time visiting but it won't be the last. We are hoping to make it back to see the phantom of fear and what else they do to the park for Halloween. It's kind of a small place but if you don't mind doing the same activities multiple times this is the place for you. Our favorites were go-kart's and mini golf and when it got too hot we would hit the bumper boats or the arcade. The staff was really nice and helpful with any questions we had. The food and drinks were a little steep but at any point you are only about a football field away from your car. With the day pass (that is very worth it), you can run 5 minutes down the road to walmart or some other place to stock a cooler. If you have younger kids this place is great for you too. I was leary about driving an hour because of the up and down reviews but we are so glad we did. The arcade trades wins for tickets and tickets for prizes(like most places) none of the prizes are aimed toward older kids but we were happy to brighten the day of the young girl who walked in as we were leaving. Overall we had a very good day with a little price adjustment on the food and drinks this place is easily a 5 star park. I want to thank all the park employees that were super great on my wife birthday today. We all really enjoyed it. On a side note we were actually just looking for go-karts and all the other places I found were far away or much more pricy. We went I think 7 rounds of 5 laps each plus we played 18 holes of putt putt 4 times an hour in the arcade and 2 bumper boat rides. Not to mention walking around and headed to the store. Anyone can see that was worth it by far. Thanks again guys we'll...
