Went this morning Aug 31st.....arrived about 5 minutes before they opened at 9am.....Their website said they would be open at 9am....waited there with other cars.....all of a sudden...a older man came out of the store and started ranting and waving his arms telling all of us to leave.......I couldn't hear what he was saying..but..he was waving his arms telling us to leave....He was....I think...out of his head...angry.........The other people there started to leave...I got out of my car and went up to the door and there was a small sign that said "closed for Maintenance Aug. 31st and reopen Sept. 1st.....The sign....did not say..."sorry, but...we are closed, etc....and....again...nothing on their website about this......so...I went across to Molesky's produce where I found some of the same people who were at Green farms and were told rudely to leave....We then began discussing how rude this guy was to us......We decided if that is how they treat their customers...ranting at us to leave...when we did not know they would be closed....we were just waiting for them to open....but....we decided to just shop at Molesky's.....This guy....I don't know if he was the manager, maintenance guy or owner.....anyway....if he is that rude to customers...then...he should not be working in any capacity that interfaces with the customers....We don't deserve to be treated like that....All he had to do was just nicely inform us about being closed....but...ranting, waving his arms, threatening......NO.........hope the...

To the female cashier that decided to spew her ignorance, I want to clarify something for you. My husband does not need to have his wife, me, write anything out for him. He's a fantastic dad. Not that it's your business, but he's actually been carrying the majority of parental responsibility/load for months. On top of that, working fulltime (24hr days as a firefighter, meaning there are days he doesn't even get sleep) and caring for his wife with failing health. He does it all.

They sell a lot of Walnut Creek foods, especially cheese and meats at their deli.
This is one of my favorite places to go to buy fresh produce, although on my visit today I was a little disappointed in the melons. All the vegetables looked good except the corn which was a yellow and white mix. The ears were not very big but maybe it's the way the variety is.
