iPhone Repair Fayette Mall — Attraction in Lexington

I had my iPhone screen replaced at this place and as far as the service and repair quality, it was okay. The problem is that the glass screen they use is quite different from Apple. My colors are completely different, less vibrant and the brightness is much darker. For example, maroons will look olive-brown. I have to turn the phone brightness up all the way now to see it clearly and it eats my battery much faster. In the hour and a half since I got it fixed, my phone percentage has dropped 27% - and I haven’t even had the brightness fully up, trying to slow the battery usage rate. Before today, I kept my brightness at about 2/3, and that was brighter than what I’m experiencing now at 100%. Photos appear dark and the shadowed areas are very dark and lose detail now. This is the only screen option they offer so just be aware of this before having one replaced here. Also, Apple will no longer replace your screen once it’s been replaced by another company, so if you are dissatisfied with the quality, you’re just out of luck - like me. It’s as if Apple wants to punish their customers for not using them in the first place (as if you’re not overpaying for the device in the first place).

If you rely on accurate colors, clarity and brightness settings that will keep you from having to charge your battery multiple times a day, as I do for my job and other things, my advice is to go to Apple right off the bat (as much as I don’t want to say that because so many of Apple’s policies are ridiculous and are a slap in the face to their customers). I took my iPhone XR here to get repaired, on dec 26, and 5 days later it stopped working. The screen is fine(no scratches or anything) but i cant touch anything on my screen. I took it back today to get it repaired/ new screen since i have warranty but they “don’t” have any iPhone XR screens in stock right now. The guy gave me my phone back said he’d call me when they get them in stock which is very frustrating because I need to use my phone for work. He also didn’t put the screen back on right when he gave it back to me...

I arrived at the opening time, that was posted on Google, and waited 20 min. No one ever showed up to open the kiosk. The kiosk next to them informed me that the person who works at the iPhone Repair kiosk is always late. When i asked how long they usually took to arrive late the man informed me, "at least one hour". I understand that l7fe happens to us all and sometimes we all get held up, but this is just unexceptable. Why post an opening time of 10 a.m. if you show up at 11 a.m....
