The painting turned out nice, but a few significant issues on the experience itself. Not accessible and not a great teacher. 1) We've been here multiple times many years ago pre covid and entered and painted at the street level. Those were great experiences. Imagine my shock as a person with mobility issues that the classes are now in the basement, which is not accessible! I didn't want to let my partner down as this was a gift experience, and so even though I cried on the way down the stairs, I made it down... only to find that all of the tables and chairs are bar height with no normal seating. I can't sit on the tiny, high stools with no leg support where my feet cannot reach the floor, and so I had to stand for the entire class. By the end of the class I was in tears from pain and just wanted to get out of there. 2) Our artist guide, while very personable and having a fun sense of humor, wasn't that great of a painter, or went completely off script. Her proportions and use of color were way off from the reference image that we loved so much, so we ended up referring quite a bit to the original on the screen and following along to that so that we could create something that looked more like the classroom art, and the painters around us started following our lead instead of the instructor. A minor irritant was also that there was a group of older teens with two adults, and they were super loud and out of control, dominating the energy of the space. There were two different 30-something couples in our group who were trying to do something romantic together with champagne and a great cheese tray etc. that they brought, and it ruined their dates and they were getting vocal about it, but the teacher couldn't moderate getting the room under control. So, while I loved all of my prior experiences at Pinots when we were up top and had great class leaders, I just can't imagine myself going back again. Please put on your website that you are not accessible. It's very important for people to know that they have to go up and down stairs and sit at high stools. Imagine how bad it would've been if I was in my wheelchair and had to turn around and leave without experiencing my birthday present at all! My partner already felt bad about the stairs. I realize people who aren't handicapped don't usually have to think about these things, but I can't imagine I'm the first person to ever bring this up, and if I am, that's a fortunate thing for Pinot's so that there aren't more customers with bad experiences. :( Lastly, I saw hundreds of paintings stacked in the back. Something you may consider is that for any painting that isn't part of the current repertoire, donating them to assisted living facilities or the army veterans hospitals to go on the walls in their community...

Sabrina and Reshma did a fabulous job of coordinating, communicating, and making sure our party was a success! Pre-planning was a breeze- the kids painting gallery readily available online with dozens of paintings to choose from that were age appropriate. Day of, the venue was spacious and colorful, ready with an easel/chair for every kid and extra parent chair adjacent to each kid. Lots of counter space for snacks, drinks, pizza. They even had utensils and plates if you forget. Sabrina, our hostess, did an incredible job leading the group in painting, leaving room for everyone’s artistic interpretation, easy to follow instructions, and paced well enough that no one felt behind or too rushed. We were so nervous about toddler boys sitting long enough for an hour long painting, but Sabrina kept it interesting and interactive with her Simon Says game. We stopped for snack half way through and ate pizza and cake during the last 30 min. We even had time for a tour of each artist’s finished piece and photo op at the end. I worried for nothing! Sabrina even accommodated a late painter to our party and started their painting for them so they wouldn’t have to play catch up too much. She definitely earned her tip and more! Juggled all the things in a calm way which we needed with all the moving parts to the event. Thank you so much for making this a memorable 5th birthday for our son! Amazing!!! Pro tip: book on a Sunday,...
Read moreThe painting event itself was enjoyable, but the helper wasn’t proactive in refilling supplies like paint, water, or paper towels. A large, chatty group slowed the class, and when we sped up, doing many steps at once to catch up, we couldn’t refill supplies without missing instructions. Other painting venues I've visited were more organized and better at managing groups.
On my second attempt with them, they canceled my chosen class and enrolled me in a different one without asking. I told them I didn’t want to attend that class and would message them when I found another I liked. When I did, I heard nothing back. I followed up again with a different class request but still received no response.
I asked for a refund and mentioned I’d purchase new tickets when ready. They eventually emailed back, claiming they had enrolled me in the second class I’d requested. However, I noticed the class size hadn’t changed before or after my email, and I never received a reservation confirmation or reminder.
Frustrated, I’ve since requested a refund, as I haven’t painted, I canceled my original class in time, and only ended up in this situation because they canceled my class. I’ve received no further...
