Nelscott Beach — Attraction in Lincoln City

Great walkable beach with some tidepools featuring mainly anemones when the tide is all the way out. The sunsets from here were spectacular and everyone out enjoying them were pretty respectful of those around them.

The four stars mainly comes from the fact that in the stretch I walked for multiple days in a row people would just leave their dog poop bags everywhere on the beach. I grabbed a bag and picked up a lot of trash and plastic washed up by the surf, but it seems like all the poop bags just kept multiplying daily. I can't imagine how bad they'd be during busier times...

It was an alright beach for the family and dog. I think it depends on the part of beach you are on. We ended up with a mini lake by the wall and a board someone put down to cross to the beach. At the moment, this is the best place to agate hunt in Lincoln City. It has a nice wide beach, and it goes on for miles. The only complaints I have are that 1) the parking is limited, and 2) there are no restrooms at this access point. Otherwise, this is a pleasant beach for walking, surfing, beachcombing, and enjoying nice sunsets and raging winter...
