Last Wednesday I went grocery shopping. Made a purchase. All solid. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Thursday, while I am at work, I receive a notification that my card was used without me being present at the same grocery store. For a very odd, but low amount. I contacted the grocery store's HQ and they said they can't do anything and to call the bank to dispute it... Not even concerned of potential internal theft or possible back end errors.
So I disputed with AmEx. Even put a block on the merchant and ordered a new card number.
I was just emailed that I wouldn't be getting a refund and they showed me the receipt which shows that I was not present! It states it was a mail order. Mail order for a grocery chain. Not even itemized! Just a random amount.
I contacted the HQ again, they are spinning stories. First they ask me how I got their phone number... apparently they do not want customers to have their number. Then they ask if it was on this specific date and between 11AM-12PM... I said yes. They said they had been receiving a lot of calls regarding these "phantom" charges but there is nothing they can do about it because they are not showing up on their end...
So I told them I had already disputed and was provided a receipt for this transaction, so clearly you have access to the info and can issue a refund. He claims that is not true. Then he insinuates that I am a victim of fraud and that my disputes to AmEx are probably to someone that isn't actually AmEx... I couldn't even at that point. Like which is it? Is it some issue that you are aware about, or are you really going to try to claim that I am victim of some scammer who is providing me with a copy of the receipt and what not?
I told him that I was giving the company the benefit of the doubt and that maybe a rogue employee did something but clearly there is something much more corrupt going on at the company. I told him I would leave a negative review, and follow up with my bank to fight this. Will likely be filing a police report as well...
Read moreAfter my first experience here at super fresh it definitely won’t be my last. The grocery store is so clean and less people which makes it easier for shopping. The store is huge and has so many selections from American products to Spanish products to even Korean products. They have a UPS store within the store as well as a pharmacy. They have a flower area where they sell beautiful fresh flowers. The items prices are cheap and affordable. The vegetables and fruits are so fresh. The employees there were so friendly and help. A definite 5 star for me. I was amazed by the great price they offered for filet mignon. The quality of the filet mignon was to the top. My favorite part of the supermarket is the wide variety of different countries products like Brazil, Philippines, Dominican Republic and etc. There’s also a cute train set that kids were raving about above...
Read moreToday I had the worst experience I’ve ever had shopping at SuperFresh. The cashier tried to charge me for a juice she assumed my child had drunk, just because I was buying several of the same kind. Apparently, someone had left an empty bottle in the cart I picked up (and unfortunately, it was in the cart that I was using) but instead of asking politely, her attitude was accusatory from the start.
On top of that, once I had already paid, my child started getting restless, as toddlers sometimes do. Even then, I received no help bagging my groceries—the cashier just stood there watching, without offering any assistance. I used to work as a cashier in a supermarket too, and I know how important customer service is. Today, I felt the exact opposite.
I hope this feedback is taken into account to improve service and avoid similar misunderstandings...
