They provide poor quality work - they know it and don’t seem to care. Very dishonest
I appreciate your response. A couple years back we hired Clayton Barnes to do the landscaping in our backyard. We had him do our pool decking, amongst a few other things. At the time of hire, he was head of Millhaven landscaping. We were invoiced through Millhaven and had a final walk through with Millhaven. Happy to provide those invoices if you'd like.
After the decking was installed - we had concerns. We had a couple hard landscaping companies inspect his work - one of which Millhaven uses. All of them said how atrocious his work was and we would have to pay tens of thousands of dollars to repair it. He had installed everything incorrectly. Soon after, we were informed by our designer he used a tile that she didn't choose. Also can provide text messages and dates of tile selection and agreement on Claytons part.
Last fall when we confronted him and Millhaven - we have been set aside and ignored to the point of having to involve attorneys. I was working with Chris - an employee of yours, but recently he has been unresponsive. I also left a message last week for someone else that was supposed to call me back Friday, but never returned my call.
It just so happens that when we were swimming in our pool Saturday, with guests over, a pool tile fell from the jumping wall into the pool. Luckily, it didn't hit any of my children, but it very well could have and that situation could have ended very poorly. At this point, it has literally become a safety hazard.
I hope that after reading this - someone will reach out to correct this very wrong situation. Ive never worked with anyone who has been this dishonest...
Read moreI have been speaking with BJ about purchasing a lot in Lehi. He said prior to putting money down, we had to meet with him to go over the lot and know about the expectations. I had been in contact with him multiple times a day and had made an appointment to go over the lot information (within two days of our first conversation) 10 hours before the appointment, he said that someone from Florida signed the contract but had not sent the money but we could no longer put the money down for the lot. I do not understands how this makes a legal contract without money down. I do not agree with the way the situation was handled and believe it was very unprofessional and unethical. We were not notified that anyone else was even interestsed in the property until receiving the text saying that we could no longer meet the...
Read moreUpdate: after the original post some of the issues were addressed unsatisfactorily and we gave up trying to get them to honor their warranty.
The home was built mostly satisfactorily, but their building warranty seems worthless. We have reported issues with construction (some originally reported almost one year ago) and most issues are still unresolved. They do respond by having someone look at the issues, but with most issues, we’ve been told that they will schedule someone to have it fixed, but no one ever comes to fix the issues. Even issues as serious as a leaking shower causing water damage to the home go ignored. If you are willing to pay their prices they will do a mostly satisfactory job, but do not expect them to honor their...
