On one fateful June afternoon, while my wife had a 2-hour hair appointment nearby, I embarked on a brief adventure to pass the time. It was a hot day, baking hot, and my car has a broken A/C. In the midst of this adventure, when the desperate heat threatened to defeat me utterly, I saw a thunderstorm blowing in from the southwest. Frantically checking my phone, I found that Lindon City Park was within striking distance - I could make it before the storm hit.
It was a magnificent storm, a healing storm, like an ancient myth, hurling raindrops thick and fast enough to extinguish bonfires. I threw open all the windows and let the car fill up with water while I simply stood out in the grass, enjoying a nearly spiritual epiphany as I allowed myself and all my clothes to get soaked to the bone. Read moreThis is by far my kids' favorite park in the area, and that must the case for other families, because there's always at least two other families when we arrive. My kids call it the zip-line park.
There are several slides, a jungle-gym pyramid, a sliding rail, a zip line, and the music lights game (sorry, I don't know what it's called..) We even discovered a scavenger hunt on our last visit (the legend for it is beneath the slides structure).

Read moreWent to a great Free Concert tonight at Lindon City Park. Perfect venue, I would just suggest more lighting in the grassy area for concerts that get out after dark. Nice playground for the kids and plenty of grass to bring chairs or a blanket. So close to food option for a picnic and a fun Free Concert. There are restrooms available, dogs are welcome, saw several there tonight.
