Maybe today was an off day seeing as how this place has consistently high reviews… although today was a solid waste of my time. I tried to sell some sterling silver jewelry from my personal collection as I no longer wear these pieces. I was frankly shocked by the blatant lack of professionalism from Rhett. I literally had to correct him twice about the hallmarks by pointing them out. His comments like, “that looks way too shiny to be silver,” or “usually it’s marked with 925” (when in fact that’s not true and sterling silver can indeed be marked with just sterling) were very unprofessional - it’s awkward when the customer is more knowledgeable about jewelry than the actual pawn store employees. When he asked “what are you hoping to get?” and I replied with “hopefully close to market value”, I was flatly rejected with a condescending comment about profit - okay great, maybe don’t ask that question or at least front load your shop expectations first? This is not the place to sell sterling silver; I stopped showing my pieces after realizing none of it was worthwhile. I just paid a visit to this um.... "store" whatever you'd like to call it. The employee was eating his nasty smelly food right at the register. Addressed me and my buddy with a nasty mouthful of food. He proceeded to not know anything about what he was talking about and tried intensely to screw my buddy out of his merchandise. I have no idea how this place has this many stars. I looks like my grandmothers attic threw up in a run down nasty building. The merch is in piles un sorted. It's dirty, the employee was rude was eating AB's spit on me, he knew nothing of the merchandise and tried to offer my buddy 20$ for 3 pounds in pure silver. You've got to be kidding me. Not a very good place to pawn. I brought in a $25 brand new safety drop resistant work box, a laser level both brand new and a complete wrench set which he claims is not complete I have it in my hand it is 100% complete. I have pawned before and know how it goes if you're a junky this is the place for you.
